  • Patent number: 11813760
Abstract: A haircutter handle has upper and lower housings. The upper housing and lower housing join to form a circumvoluted and/or spiraled exterior surface. The handle narrows and extends axially from a blade end to a handle or gripping end. The blade has an upper blade that oscillates over the lower blade to cut hair. The handle has a reduction taper that facilitates gripping and/or handling the handle. The taper also orients the motor and battery so that the center of gravity is positioned within the palm of the user's hand when gripping the handle. The blade end of the handle has a width and/or height that are greater than a width and/or height at the handle end. The reduction in height and/or width dimensions define a taper. In some embodiments, the width tapers more than the height tapers to facilitate gripping the handle about the center of gravity.

  • Patent number: 11794290
Abstract: The method for forming cutters includes applying a protective layer on an O-ring so as to form a protected O-ring. The protected O-ring is placed around a cutter body having a substrate section and diamond section with a metallic binder. The method includes inserting the cutter body into the pod cavity and leaching the metallic binder through an end portion of the diamond section for at least one day at 60 degrees Celsius or higher so as to form a polycrystalline diamond compact cutter from the cutter body. The protected O-ring seals the substrate section during the step of leaching. The step of leaching forms an exposed O-ring from the protected O-ring with a hardness reduction and a modulus reduction that identifies a time window for maintaining a sealing force to protect the substrate, while achieving the target profile of the diamond table for a high quality and reliable cutter.

  • Patent number: 11790507
Abstract: The invention is directed to a foodstuff extrusion portioning device and more specifically a cutter head assembly on such an extruder having a servo motor, a cutter shuttle coupled to a cutting element, a controller and being programmed via a product variable to provide a velocity profile. The cutter in the velocity profile has a first velocity and it reduces speed to a second velocity and goes more slowly through the last portion of the foodstuff. The at least two velocities being fully programmable and the controller can provide for instantaneous and additional programmed velocities throughout the cutting profile. The cutter further providing tilt control so it can drop the portion at the moment the portion detaches from the extruded foodstuff stream. It cuts and/or breaks off portions in a far more uniform and controllable manner to more accurately portion and better place the cut portions.

  • Patent number: 11780696
Abstract: A transfer and dispensing apparatus is disclosed for the conveying and separation of packaging material, cushions or pillows when needed by the operator. When a packer working over a conveyor receives a box that requires void fill, an operating switch such as a foot pedal is depressed to dispense pillows from the apparatus and into the box in a connected strip. When the operating switch is released, the apparatus stops dispensing pillows, separates the continuous strip of pillows along a transverse perforation in the strip, and ejects the end of the separated segment. The packer can then complete packing the box by placing the severed end of the pillows into the box, advance to the next box, and repeat the process. The transfer and dispensing apparatus may be positioned in any convenient location including adjacent to, above or attached to the inflation device.
