Abstract: Audio analysis learning is performed using video data. Video data is obtained, on a first computing device, wherein the video data includes images of one or more people. Audio data is obtained, on a second computing device, which corresponds to the video data. A face within the video data is identified. A first voice, from the audio data, is associated with the face within the video data. The face within the video data is analyzed for cognitive content. Audio features corresponding to the cognitive content of the video data are extracted. The audio data is segmented to correspond to an analyzed cognitive state. An audio classifier is learned, on a third computing device, based on the analyzing of the face within the video data. Further audio data is analyzed using the audio classifier.
Abstract: A method for decelerating a vehicle, a non-transitory computer-readable medium for performing the method, and reception apparatuses. The method includes monitoring a state of a driver of the vehicle, and causing a notification to be output based on the monitored state of the driver. The method further includes determining, by circuitry of an information processing apparatus and when operating in a manual operation mode, whether to cause the vehicle to decelerate after the notification is output. The vehicle is caused by the circuitry to decelerate based on the determination of whether to cause the vehicle to decelerate.

Abstract: A warning assembly structured to be attached to load transporting equipment, said warning assembly comprising: a housing, a detection assembly, an indicator assembly, and an activation mechanism. An attachment structure is used to attach the housing to the load transporting equipment. The detection assembly is generally disposed on the housing and is configured to determine at least a vertical distance from an initial position. The indicator assembly is also disposed on the housing and comprises a sound indicator and/or a visual indicator. The activation mechanism is operatively connected to the indicator assembly and/or the detection assembly, and is generally configured to automatically activate and/or deactivate the sound indicator and/or visual indicator upon the occurrence of a predetermined condition. The activation mechanism may also be configured to manually control the sound indicator and/or the visual indicator.
Abstract: A traffic-congestion prevention system for preventing traffic congestion at a target location at a target time more certainly is provided. The traffic-congestion prevention system 10 includes a traffic state calculation unit 124 and a display control unit 16. The traffic state calculation unit 124 calculates a target traffic state that is a traffic state to be achieved at a location different from the target location in order to prevent traffic congestion at the target location at the target time. The display control unit 16 controls display means in such a way that the target traffic state at the location is displayed on the display means.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for carrying out an inventory of a plurality of biological product containers, each container and/or each package including containers being provided with an identification label including a wireless communication chip. The method includes the steps of: providing a device including a gantry defining a direction of travel; providing a receptacle able to be moved, the receptacle carrying the plurality of containers; moving the receptacle in order to cross the gantry in the direction of travel; and reading the wireless communication chip of each container and/or package during the movement of the receptacle.
Abstract: A system and method for managing a population of RFID tags. In various aspects, an RFID reader implements one or more RFID protocols to execute a read cycle that defines a series of actions for the RFID reader to perform. The read cycle may begin by the RFID reader broadcasting a query to deselected RFID tags to generate a list of deselected tag identifiers. The read cycle then causes the RFID reader to broadcast a query to selected RFID tags to track selected RFID tags. Finally, the read cycle causes the RFID reader to broadcast a selection command that includes the list of deselected tag identifiers.
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring operating conditions of an industrial installation system including a plurality industrial assets. A plurality of transponders or beacons is located in a facility or location, where each of the transponders defines a zone in which some of the industrial assets are located. One or more mobile devices is configured to identify assets located within one or more of the zones to provide information to a data acquisition and processing system, which monitors the operating conditions of each of the industrial assets. Each of the one or more mobile devices is authorized depending on a location within the facility, the identity of a user, or based on a time of day. Industrial assets that require support, such as maintenance or replacement, are identified. Authorized mobile devices are configured to transmit information to and to receive information from the data acquisition and processing system.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for notifying a driver of status information of a surrounding vehicle are provided to guide the driver to conduct defensive driving to provide safety by communicating with the surrounding vehicle which is located within a predetermined distance from a host vehicle on a road and is traveling in the same direction as the host vehicle. The apparatus notifies the driver whether the surrounding vehicle activates an autonomous mode. To this end, the apparatus includes: a V2V communication device to communicate with the surrounding vehicle to obtain information indicating whether the autonomous mode of the surrounding vehicle is activated; a display to display whether the autonomous mode is activated; and a controller to control the display using the information.

A server accesses a user-provided specification, the user-provided specification indicating an initial alert range for a measured value and a subsequent alert schedule for the measured value. The server monitors a physical measurement of the measured value. The server determines that the physical measurement falls within the initial alert range. The server provides an initial alert in response to the physical measurement falling within the initial alert range. The server provides a subsequent alert according to the subsequent alert schedule in the user-provided specification.

Abstract: Location information for a plurality of target subjects can be depicted as a plurality of routes with indications of respective contemporaneous locations of the target subjects at a point in time. A graphical slider can be used to update the visualization to depict contemporaneous locations of the target subjects at a different point in time. A point on one of the routes can be activated to update the visualization to depict contemporaneous locations of the target subjects at a different point in time. Metrics for characteristics of the location data can be displayed proximate the slider. Other features provide a user interface that allows for a rich set of visualization functionality.
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system to verify the availability and location of parking spaces within a fixed physical area, and to confirm that subsequent occupiers are authorized to use the space. In an embodiment the present invention uses a parking sensor coupled with a beacon to notify parking authorities and users of a particular mobile application when an individual parking space is unoccupied. In the event of subsequent unauthorized occupying of any particular parking space, the present invention communicates information regarding the same to parking authorities for enforcement.

For example, a security system includes a sensor configured to be secured to an item of merchandise, and a monitoring component configured to wirelessly communicate with the sensor, wherein the monitoring component and the sensor are configured to communicate with one another to determine a proximity of the item of merchandise relative to the monitoring component, wherein the monitoring component and/or the sensor is configured to initiate a security signal when the proximity between the monitoring component and the sensor is within a predetermined range or distance.

In one embodiments, a method for a client device for preventing redundant calls to an emergency call center is provided, the method comprising: receiving, at the client device, a notification, along with video footage associated with the notification, about an event generated by an A/V recording and communication device, the video footage captured by a camera of the A/V recording and communication device; receiving a request for contacting the emergency call center; informing one or more backend devices, in communication with the client device and a home security monitoring center that monitors a security system, of the received request to suppress a potential redundant call to the emergency call center from the home security monitoring center; and contacting the emergency call center.

Abstract: An authentication element that may include a keyless go device for a vehicle. The authentication element may include a transponding interface for transmitting an authentication signal and receiving power and data. A sensor element may also be provided for detecting a movement and/or inclination. Abstract: Techniques for using wireless electronic keys with devices are disclosed. For example, a computer system can program an access code into a programmable wireless electronic key. An action or function of the device can then be made contingent on there being a match between the access code from the key and an access code known by the device. Further still, other operational control parameters (such as time limits) can be programmed into the key to restrict the ability of the key to control an action or function of the device. Also, audit data such as device access history can be wirelessly transferred from a device to an electronic key, whereupon the key can later transfer this audit data to a computer for analysis.
Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for a wearable electronic device, such as a bracelet, coupled to a plurality of electronic components (which may include any type of components, elements, circuitry, etc.). One particular implementation of a wearable electronic device may include a plurality of sensors configured to measure at least one health parameter of a first user associated with the wearable electronic device, and a control module in communication with the plurality of sensors. The control module includes a processor configured to receive a plurality of health parameter measurements from at least a subset of the plurality of sensors, and determine a general health state of the first user based upon the received health parameter measurements.
