  • Patent number: 11570638
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that adjusts, via a short-term subsystem, a communications parameter for one or more of wireless communication devices based on data from one or more of a plurality of sensors. The technology may also determine, via a neural network, a prediction of future performance of the wireless network based on a state of the network environment, wherein the state of the network environment includes information from the short-term subsystem and location information about the wireless communication devices and other objects in the environment, and determine a change in network configuration to improve a quality of communications in the wireless network based on the prediction of future performance of the wireless network. The technology may further generate generic path loss models based on time-stamped RSSI maps and record a sequence of events that cause a significant drop in RSSI to determine a change in network configuration.

  • Patent number: 11540164
Abstract: Techniques for network-based and sender-based data packet prioritization for downlink transmissions are discussed herein. Packets can be tagged or associated with information indicative of a priority of the packet for downlink transmission to a user equipment (UE). A priority level can be determined based on an application identifier or type associated with a data request, a level of user interaction with the UE, network conditions, and other factors. Packets can be received by a PDCP layer of a base station for sending based on the priority. Packets may be associated with a primary priority level associated with a QCI level and a secondary priority level based on UE and/or network factors discussed herein. Packets associated with a same QCI may be prioritized to optimize transmission of downlink data associated with a single UE or between transmission of downlink data associated with a plurality of UEs.

  • Patent number: 11533736
Abstract: Systems and methods of scheduling grant-based traffic and mapping resources for grant-free traffic are provided. Grant-based traffic is scheduled in a first frequency partition, and grant-free traffic is mapped in a second frequency partition. In a first option, grant-based traffic is also scheduled in part of the first partition, but in a limited manner that ensures a given device's transmission and retransmissions do not all experience interference with the grant-based traffic. In another option, some grant-free traffic is mapped to part of the second partition and is spread in frequency across the second partition.

  • Patent number: 11533684
Abstract: A relay device in a communication system receives a plurality of wakeup frames from one or more than one communication device connected to each bus of a plurality of buses via a corresponding port. The relay device obtains an aggregated wakeup pattern by aggregating information on an operating mode of each communication device included in the plurality of wakeup frames so as to include predetermined information to be transmitted and received and reduce the number of wakeup patterns. By using the aggregated wakeup pattern obtained by aggregating the information on the operating mode, a wakeup frame for transmission to each bus via the corresponding port is prepared.

  • Patent number: 11528597
Abstract: A method for UE capability reduction on a per-component-carrier or a per-frequency-range basis is proposed. In NR networks, UE may be operating in multiple frequency ranges (FRs) and configured with multiple component carriers (CCs) under carrier aggregation. UE can detect an overheating problem due to the RF activity supporting high bandwidth or high MIMO rank on a specific FR or a specific CC. Accordingly, UE indicates to the network a preference for a capability reduction on the specific FR or the specific CC, e.g., a reduced number of carriers, a reduced maximum bandwidth, or a reduced MIMO rank. Such per-FR or per-CC request allows UE to restrict or reduce its capability in a manner that is specific to certain component carriers and/or certain frequency ranges rather than to a global capability reduction that affects all carriers/frequencies.

  • Patent number: 11522762
Abstract: Coordinator and method for providing control applications via a communication network, wherein prior to migrating a flow control component of a control application to a server device, a coordinator checks whether a data stream for transmitting application data was set up for the control application, where the coordinator enables migration of the flow control component if a data stream has not been set up, in the event a data stream had been set up previously, a check is performed to determine whether sufficient resources for data transmission are available for paths to the server device, such that if sufficient resources are unavailable, migration of the respective flow control component is stopped, and if sufficient resources are available, the coordinator prompts set-up of the data stream to the server device and disconnection of the previously set-up data stream and enables migration of the flow control component to the server device.
