  • Patent number: 10498692
Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively providing messages to users equipment (UEs) are disclosed. Different types of messages can be associated with different statuses for each UE based on user preferences, network settings, or plan parameters. UEs can be available to receive some types of messages, but not other types of messages, depending on the UE's current connection type, location, or plan parameters. Messages sent to multiple UEs associated with the same service account can be sent based on the availability of each UE to receive the message. Messages are not sent to UEs that are not available to receive that type of message. UEs connected to a common network can enable messaging services to other UEs associated with a common service account or network identity. Messaging services can be available despite each UEs availability to other types of messages.

  • Patent number: 10462081
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a process that determines an identity of a subscriber of a media service. A viewing criterion of the subscriber is determined and a media content item is identified based on the viewing criterion of the subscriber. The media content item is provided for delivery to a media processing device without first requiring a request for delivery of the media content item. The media processing device is identified by a network service provider based on a selection of the media processing device from among a number of devices of the subscriber that are registered with the network service provider. The selection of the media processing device is based on device capabilities and the identity of the subscriber. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10439925
Abstract: This document describes systems, devices, and methods for testing the integration of a content provider's origin infrastructure with a content delivery network (CDN). In embodiments, the teachings hereof enable a content provider's developer to rapidly and flexibly create test environments that send test traffic through the same CDN hardware and software that handle (or at least have the ability to handle) production traffic, but in isolation from that production traffic and from each other. Furthermore, in embodiments, the teachings hereof enable the content provider to specify an arbitrary test origin behind its corporate firewall with which the CDN should communicate.

  • Patent number: 10439895
Abstract: The technology disclosed for configuring a transcoder-router to direct incoming communications to desired receivers includes receiving a selection by a user from an icon-based GUI, of an incoming voice, video, image, short message, or email media type to configure for routing. Incoming communications gets routed in the context of the incoming media type, with the transducer-router receiving a combination of routing conditions with which to determine the routing of the incoming media type: a time zone against which routing schedules are measured; a time window for the routing schedules that covers both time of day and day of week; and available receiver devices for the routing under the selected combination of the incoming media type, time zone and time window. The disclosed systems and methods include committing routing rules based on the user selections to tangible machine readable memory; and using the committed rules to route incoming media type messages.

  • Patent number: 10432666
Abstract: A method of policy management in a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) system uses a policy model that associates a user with one or more DLP endpoints. When an endpoint is added to the system, a set of policies for that endpoint are determined using an identity of the user that is associated with the endpoint and a list of roles or groups for that user. At policy distribution time, the method determines a set of endpoints to which the policy is to be distributed.

  • Patent number: 10432483
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein describe an I/O client that switches between generating high-resolution and low-resolution performance data in response to a defined event indicating there is a performance issue with a storage volume. In one embodiment, the I/O client uses one or more event rules that define a condition or threshold for determining whether to generate high-resolution or low-resolution performance data. In one embodiment, the I/O client transmits the performance data to a central monitoring system which can generate a chart plotting the performance data overtime. Because the I/O client may generate the high resolution performance data only when an event rule indicates there is a performance issue, the amount of performance data transmitted to the central monitoring system can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 10425475
Abstract: In some examples, a system for managing distributed data can include a processor to detect an update notification from a client device to update a managing server, the update notification indicating that a remote server node is unavailable. The processor can also generate a comparison value by comparing a first time stamp to a second time stamp, wherein the first time stamp corresponds to a time at which the system receives the update notification from the client device and the second time stamp corresponds to a time the remote server node transmits a set of renewal data. Furthermore, the processor can determine that the comparison value indicates the remote server node is unavailable and remove the remote server node from the managing server.

  • Patent number: 10419549
Abstract: A content streaming apparatus that includes a gateway streaming manager which determines whether a client device has roamed out of a wireless zone of the content streaming apparatus into a wireless zone of another content streaming apparatus, and when the client device has roamed, sends a tuner reservation instruction to the other content streaming apparatus to instruct the other content streaming apparatus to reserve a tuner in advance of a transfer of the streaming session. The gateway streaming manager receives a tuner reservation confirmation from the other content streaming apparatus, and sends an alternate streaming notification to the client device. The gateway streaming manager receives an alternate streaming acceptance from the client device, and ends the streaming session between the content streaming apparatus and the client device when the alternate streaming acceptance is received.

  • Patent number: 10411946
Abstract: A method and system of managing fixed line network elements. Data from disparate sources is received by a processing layer of a monitoring server via a wireline communication network. The intelligence layer determines whether a first node from the disparate nodes is new or pre-existing. Based on a determination by the intelligence layer whether a node is new or pre-existing, different static rules are applied to the received data from the first node. Contextual information is retrieved from the measurements megastore related to the first node. A root cause of a malfunction of the first node is determined. A notification is generated based on the root cause of the malfunction.

  • Patent number: 10389544
Abstract: A service provider receives from a user who has an account with it contact card information and recipient information picture information, therefrom determines a virtual contact card and contact channels through which the virtual contact card is sent to the recipients designated by the user, and sends the virtual contact card to the designated recipients through the contact channels. The virtual contact card and contact channels may be selected from what have been previously registered, either by the user or a third person, with the service provider and stored in the user's account, or just newly created, updated, and sent from the user at the time of transmission request to the designated recipients. The virtual contact card, when updated by the user, may be automatically sent by the service provider to the same recipients that previously received a pre-updated version.
