  • Patent number: 9130741
Abstract: A data protection system includes terminals, and an encryption device that encrypts distribution data distributed to each terminal. Each terminal corresponds with one node on a lowest level of a tree structure having hierarchies. A data protection system excludes nodes on the lowest level, determines a plurality of combination patterns that include combinations of two or more of all four nodes that are reached one level below the node, decides an individual decryption key for each determined combination pattern, and decides an individual decryption key for each node on the lowest level. The data protection system prescribes nodes that are reached from the node on the lowest level and a terminal to the node on the highest level that is an invalid node.

  • Patent number: 8930563
Abstract: An extensible architecture that enables developers to focus solely on the domain-specific nature of the stream processing algorithm to be implemented. It is positioned as an intermediary component between streaming data feeds and stream algorithms, thereby aggregating demand on data sources and hiding the complexity involved in managing active connections to different data sources. Per-algorithm stream throttling is provided so that individual algorithms do not get overloaded; thus, ensuring that algorithms receive fresh items from the data feeds to which the algorithms subscribe. Feed items can be discarded when an algorithm is not able to process the items in realtime to ensure that feed items are sampled at the fastest processing rate of the algorithm. Thus, a single instance of an algorithm can handle an entire data stream. Moreover, redundancy can be achieved by running the same configuration on multiple machines.

  • Patent number: 8868923
Abstract: Detection and deterrence of spoofing of user authentication may be achieved by including a cryptographic fingerprint unit within a hardware device for authenticating a user of the hardware device. The cryptographic fingerprint unit includes an internal physically unclonable function (“PUF”) circuit disposed in or on the hardware device, which generates a PUF value. Combining logic is coupled to receive the PUF value, combines the PUF value with one or more other authentication factors to generate a multi-factor authentication value. A key generator is coupled to generate a private key and a public key based on the multi-factor authentication value while a decryptor is coupled to receive an authentication challenge posed to the hardware device and encrypted with the public key and coupled to output a response to the authentication challenge decrypted with the private key.

  • Patent number: 8856334
Abstract: A resource lending control apparatus stores an assignment time and a deletion time in association with each other for each customer. The assignment time indicates a time for assigning an application used by each customer to provide a service to a server. The deletion time indicates a time for deleting the application from the server. The resource lending control apparatus calculates a lendable period of a remaining fixed resource of a lending customer by subtracting the deletion time and the assignment time of the lending customer from a remaining fixed period. The resource lending control apparatus calculates a total borrowing period, i.e., a period during which a borrowing customer is to use a borrowed resource, by adding the deletion time and the assignment time of the borrowing customer to a borrowing request period.
