Abstract: A system for preparing a coffee beverage, provided with a coffee making apparatus comprising a grinder for grinding coffee beans to obtain ground coffee, a coffee beverage preparation device arranged for, with supply of water to the ground coffee, preparing the coffee beverage, and a coffee outlet for dispensing the coffee beverage, a separate coffee bean package with an inner space which at least before use is filled with the coffee beans, wherein the coffee bean package before use is closed off in itself such that the exposure of the coffee beans to ambient air is prevented, a coffee bean inlet for supply of coffee beans from the coffee bean package to the grinder, and a connecting device for connecting the coffee bean package to the coffee making apparatus.

Abstract: The disclosure extends to devices, systems and methods for producing a shaved ice product using shaved ice confection machines and processes. The disclosure also extends to a tension arm and a shaping device used in conjunction with shaved ice confection machines and processes to produce more consistent shaved ice output with a potential increase in machine life.

Abstract: A deodorizing waste receptacle for disposal of soiled adult diapers includes a housing. The housing comprises an annular wall that is coupled to and extends upwardly from a bottom to define both a top and an internal space. A funnel is coupled to the housing and positioned in the internal space. A drawer is insertable into a lower chamber of the housing through an opening in the housing. A lid is reversibly and sealably couplable to the top to cover an aperture. An actuator is coupled to the housing positioned to motivate the lid between a closed to an open configuration. A plunger, which is coupled to the lid, is configured to compressibly motivate a soiled diaper through the funnel into the drawer. Deodorizers and dispensers are positioned in the housing to absorb and mask, respectively, odiferous gasses generated by soiled diapers positioned in the internal space.

Abstract: A system for detecting a combustion-related condition in a pulverizer includes a pulverizer configured to receive coal chunks via an inlet, to grind the coal chunks into coal powder and to output the coal powder via an outlet. The system includes sensors configured to detect heat input characteristics supplied to the pulverizer and heat output characteristics emitted from the pulverizer. The system also includes a controller configured to determine, based on signals from the sensors, whether a combustion-related condition exists in the pulverizer based on a heat balance function including the heat input characteristics and the heat output characteristics.

Abstract: A gyratory crusher includes an inner and an outer crushing shell. The outer crushing shell has three regions along its axial length including: an inlet region that tapers radially inward from an uppermost first end; a crushing region that extends radially inward from a second lowermost end; and a radially innermost shoulder region that is positioned axially between the inlet and crushing regions. An angle of inclination of a radially inward facing surface at the inlet and shoulder regions and the axial length of the crushing surface are designed to optimize crushing capacity in addition maximizing reduction.

Abstract: An abrasion wear resistant distributor plate assembly is mountable to protect a rotor within a vertical shaft impact crusher for material fed into the rotor. A distributor plate is arranged so as to be resistant to the operational abrasive wear resulting from contact with a flow of crushable feed material through the crusher rotor. Attachment components are provided around a perimeter of the plate to facilitate mounting and decoupling of the plate at the rotor during servicing or replacement procedures.
