    Abstract: A novel method of applying topical erectile dysfunction medicaments for controlled dispensing thereof through a condom or like prophylactic article is provided. Additionally, encompassed within this invention is the combination of an initial ingestion of a small dose of orally taken ED medicament for initial generation of nitric oxide followed by such a topical application. With such a method, the initial oral application metabolizes and runs its course while the topical application provides the needed dose of ED medicament. Once a sexual event is completed, the wearer may then remove the topical application article removing the topical delivery thereof in order to return to a flaccid state quickly and easily. Such an article and method thus reduces the propensity for potentially damaging excessive erection states and provides a more reliable dosing regimen for more effective and safe implementation of such an ED medicament program.

    Abstract: Apparatus for an orthopedic brace with magnetic assistance. A pair of braces are configured to each support and secure a magnetic device on each leg above the knee. The magnetic devices generate a magnetic force sufficient to reduce a spastic gait. Each magnetic device has a magnetic field that interacts with a magnetic field of the other magnetic device. The magnetic field produces a magnetic force that repels the other magnetic device as the magnetic devices move relative to each other when the wearer walks. The shape of the magnetic field is configured to aid the wearer in avoiding the legs colliding while walking. In one embodiment discrete magnets are disposed on the medial side of each brace. In another embodiment magnetic material is integral with the medial side of each brace and the magnetic material has a selected field strength curve.

A pressure tube is coupled to the oral device to provide the applied negative pressure. A pressure source is coupled to the pressure tube to generate the applied negative pressure. A collector is coupled to the pressure tube and/or pressure source to collect liquid, typically saliva, from the air flow out of the oral cavity. The collector is disposed outside of the oral cavity and coupled to the oral device.

The vacuum pump has a one way directional valve so that the neck brace remains in a rigid configuration for as long as the neck brace is applied to the patient. The neck brace also forms a rigid mold over the patient's chin so as to immobilize the patient as well as to provide a comfortable fit without inducing further distracting the patient or restricting the patient's venous return blood flow.
