  • Patent number: 11339643
Abstract: A sensor assembly can include a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a housing assembly containing the gyroscope and the accelerometer. An axis of the gyroscope can be collinear with an axis of the accelerometer. A method of inspecting a well pumping unit can include attaching a sensor assembly to the pumping unit, recording acceleration versus time data, and in response to an amplitude of the acceleration versus time data exceeding a predetermined threshold, transforming the data to acceleration versus frequency data. A method of balancing a well pumping unit can include comparing peaks of acceleration versus rotational orientation data to peaks of acceleration due to circular motion, and adjusting a position of a counterweight, thereby reducing a difference between the peaks of acceleration due to circular motion and the peaks of the acceleration versus rotational orientation data for subsequent operation of the pumping unit.

  • Patent number: 11328564
Abstract: A luminaire whose primary operation is to provide ambient or focused lighting in a hazardous environment is further configured to communicate, within the hazardous environment, alert and/or detected events or conditions via visual sequences. Different visual sequences uniquely identify respective alerts and/or detected conditions, which may include conditions occurring at the luminaire and/or conditions occurring within the hazardous environment. Different visual sequences are defined by respective blink sequences stored in a blink sequence library at the luminaire. Blink sequences are configurable, are distinguished by different amplitudes, frequencies, duty cycles, and other energization/de-energization waveform characteristics, and are applied to one or more illumination sources of the luminaire to thereby generate corresponding visual sequences in the hazardous environment.

  • Patent number: 11318990
Abstract: A vehicle has a detecting section that detects, as a detection value, a rotational angle of each wheel assembly. A transmitter provided in each wheel assembly transmits transmission data when the rotational angle of the wheel assembly is any of specific angles. At the performance of transmission at the specific angle, the transmitter changes data that is different from angular data indicating the rotational angle of the wheel assembly and is included in the transmission data in accordance with the specific angle. A vehicle-mounted receiver collects the detection values detected by the detecting section upon reception of the transmission data. The receiver collects the detection values for each piece of the transmission data transmitted at the same specific angle based on a manner in which data included in the received transmission data is changed in accordance with the specific angle.

  • Patent number: 11312332
Abstract: Examples provide a system and method for remote management of lockable devices associated with emergency vehicles. A lockable device is a device, such as a multicolor light device or a siren device having one or more available functions which are initially placed in a locked state at the time of manufacture. A user can unlock the locked functions by logging into a remote device manager on a user device while the locked device is connected to the user device. The user selects one or more locked functions to unlock. The remote device manager generates a unique unlock code for each locked function selected for unlock. The unlock code is returned to the user device for utilization in unlocking the selected functions. The unlock code enables operation of the locked function. A lock status is updated to indicate which functions have been unlocked.

  • Patent number: 11295012
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that determines whether an inferential model is susceptible to spillover false alarms. During operation, the system receives a set of time-series signals from sensors in a monitored system. The system then trains the inferential model using the set of time-series signals. Next, the system tests the inferential model for susceptibility to spillover false alarms by performing the following operations for one signal at a time in the set of time-series signals. First, the system adds degradation to the signal to produce a degraded signal. The system then uses the inferential model to perform prognostic-surveillance operations on the time-series signals with the degraded signal. Finally, the system detects spillover false alarms based on results of the prognostic-surveillance operations.
