  • Patent number: 11151584
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for capturing a dataset over time that represents the response of shoppers to a set of marketing and merchandising stimuli or “elements”. The response includes exposure metrics, engagement metrics and conversion metrics for different shopper segments. The shopper segments may be defined by demographics such as gender, age and ethnicity or by the type of trip, such as a quick trip or a fill-up trip. The system comprises a plurality of means for capturing images, such as cameras, covering the area of interest in the vicinity of the marketing or merchandising element. The method comprises automated and semi-automated analysis of the video to extract the shopper behavior and demographics data for computing the defined metrics. The captured data can be further combined with information such a promotions and advertisement outside the store to further enhance the applications of the data collected in-store from the invention.

  • Patent number: 11107045
Abstract: A service ticket control can close an open service ticket for a field service visit to resolve a power outage experienced at a given customer premises. The open service ticket can be closed in response to usage data from a given smart meter at the customer premises indicating that the customer premises is consuming power above a predetermined threshold level. The service ticket control closes the open service ticket prior to a service crew assigned the service ticket arriving at the given customer premises.

  • Patent number: 11088834
Abstract: The current invention provides a system and method for Data Owners to share with Data Seekers extracted insights from the Big Data, instead of raw data or anonymized raw data, thus reducing or eliminating privacy concerns on the data owned by the Data Owners. An Oblivious Pseudo Random Function (OPRF) is used, with operations using OPRFs occur over encrypted data, thus Data Owners learn only the primary object from Data Seeker and nothing else about the remainder of Data Owners' data. Similarly, Data Seeker learns a list of associated secondary objects and nothing else about Data Owners' data. The extent of sharing can be limited using a predefined threshold depending how much private information Data Owner is willing to share or Data Seeker is willing to pay.

  • Patent number: 11068853
Abstract: A calendar utility is provided to capture a calendar event. A communication application initiates operations to capture the calendar event by monitoring a communication or a document. A calendar utility is generated after a calendar information such as a date, a time, a location, a title, and/or a subject associated with an event is parsed from the communication or document. The calendar utility is generated with a title element and a calendar list to provide for a selection of a calendar. The calendar utility is displayed, in relation to the calendar information, to capture a calendar event associated with the communication or the document. The calendar event is captured based on entry(s) and/or selection(s) on the calendar utility.

  • Patent number: 11062240
Abstract: A device receives occupational activity descriptions and occupational role attributes, and processes the occupational activity descriptions to generate estimated occupational activity attribute values. The device trains a neural network model based on the estimated occupational activity attribute values to generate a trained neural network model, and receives a new activity description for a new role in an organization. The device processes the new activity description, with the trained neural network model, to generate estimated new activity attribute values, and processes the estimated new activity attribute values, with the logistic regression model, to generate probabilities that the new role is suitable for different workforce types. The device determines a workforce recommendation for the new role based on the probabilities that the new role is suitable for the different workforce types.

  • Patent number: 10956999
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides for multiple service classes within a controllable transit system (e.g., a PRT system), by route allocation according to service class priority. Routes are optimized for vehicles needing or entitled to the highest service level, then remaining capacity is used to optimize routes for the next lower service class. Such optimization can be extended indefinitely, through “N” service classes of service. In addition, an embodiment of the invention allows the cataloging of PRT capacity and vehicle types/roles/emissions, as well as related business models. The system provided hereunder provides a means of ensuring that various service classes of system users can be given treatment according to the service class in which they reside. Such prioritization leads to a more flexible system, with higher user satisfaction and a greater number of available business models (e.g., “pay for service class”) permissible within the transit system.

  • Patent number: 10915848
Abstract: An apparatus includes at least one memory configured to store information identifying performances of multiple restaurants associated with an incubator project. The apparatus also includes at least one processor configured to correlate the performances of the restaurants over time to identify when one restaurant's performance is dependent upon one or more other restaurants' performances. The at least one processor could be configured to correlate the performances of the restaurants by correlating peak customer visits to the restaurants over time. The at least one processor could also be configured to correlate the peak customer visits to identify whether a specified one of the restaurants is visited more frequently when others of the restaurants are busier.

  • Patent number: 10915910
Abstract: Shopping related data is obtained by using a weight sensor on a shelf to determine a reduction in weight of product on the shelf, and noting the time, and then detecting weight added to a near-by located shopping cart using a sensor, and noting the time. This data is communicated to a processor, which determines a probability that a product has been moved from the shelf to the cart if the reduction in weight upon the shelf is the same weight as the increase in weight upon the cart. Using this data, it is possible to determine a time interval during which a shopper considered purchasing the product.

  • Patent number: 10783475
Abstract: A system manages physical interactions between users. The system analyzes wireless signals transmitted by a plurality of user devices within a physical area to identify one or more first users within proximity of a second user in the physical area. Actions of the second user are monitored to determine a level of concentration of the second user in performing a task. A probability of a physical interaction of the one or more first users with the second user causing loss of focus by the second user is determined, and physical interactions of the one or more first users with the second user are managed based on the determined probability to maintain focus of the second user on the task. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for managing physical interactions between users in substantially the same manner described above.

  • Patent number: 10762458
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for scheduling objects having pair-wise and cumulative constraints. The systems and methods presented can utilize a directed acyclic graph to increase or maximize a utilization function. The objects can comprise satellites in a constellation of satellites. In some implementations, the satellites are imaging satellites, and the systems and methods for scheduling can use human collaboration to determine events of interest for acquisition of images. In some implementations, dominant edges are removed from the directed acyclic graph. In some implementations, dynamic weights are assigned to nodes associated with downlink events in the directed acyclic graph.

  • Patent number: 10095989
Abstract: A system for determining product pricing for a product category receives a non-linear problem for the product category, in which the non-linear problem includes a demand model. For a plurality of pair of products in the product category, the system determines coefficients for a change in demand of a first product when a price of a second product is changed. The system then generates an approximate Mixed Integer Linear Programming (“MILP”) problem that includes a change of demand based on a sum of the determined coefficients. The system then solves the MILP problem to obtain a MILP solution, which provides the product pricing.
