  • Patent number: 11677800
Abstract: An electronic device, while providing a first playlist for playback by a media device, maintains a play queue for a first user that is initially populated with a list of media content items to be played by the media device, the initially populated list of media content items including media content items distinct from the first playlist and selected by the first user and media content items from the first playlist. The electronic device receives a request to change playback from the first playlist to a second playlist different from the first playlist. In response to the request to change the playback from the first playlist to the second playlist, the electronic device maintains, in the play queue, the media content items selected by the first user while changing playback from the first playlist to the second playlist.

  • Patent number: 11677820
Abstract: A system for creating a sync group in a distributed system may include an offline electronic device having a short range communication transmitter and a storage service, and a computer-readable storage medium comprising one or more programming instructions. The system may receive a request from an application to create a sync group, and verify that the application has read access to the storage service. In response to verifying that the application has read access to the storage service, the system may create the sync group by receiving an indication of one or more objects stored in the storage service that are to be shared, identifying one or more members of the sync group, and assigning one or more permissions to the one or more members that are identified. The system may synchronize access to the objects among the electronic device and one or more member electronic devices.

  • Patent number: 11671456
Abstract: A rules engine is adapted for analyzing each match produced by a domain discovery system as matching a seed domain. Utilizing a natural language processing (NLP) library, the rules engine determines segments from the match, assigns a lexical category to each segment based on the context in how a seed domain string is used, and compares the lexical category of the segment that is closest to the seed domain string with a lexical category of the seed domain string. Based on the comparing, the rules engine determines whether the match is relevant to the seed domain and, if not, the match produced by the domain discovery system is identified as a false positive and automatically removed from a set of matches produced by the domain discovery system for the seed domain.

  • Patent number: 11658901
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for session-based routing of multipoint Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model Layer-2 (L2) frames of an L2 network extended over Layer-3 (L3) networks. In one example, L2 networks connect a source device to an ingress router and receiver devices to egress routers. An L3 network connects the ingress and egress routers. The ingress router receives, from the source device, a multipoint L2 frame destined for the receiver devices. The ingress router forms, for each egress router that is connected to at least one multipoint receiver device, a unicast L3 packet for the L2 frame and forwards the unicast L3 packet to the egress router. Each egress router generates, in response to receiving the unicast L3 packet, the multipoint L2 frame and forwards, to the receiver devices, the multipoint L2 frame.

  • Patent number: 11652787
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards locating and counting unused nodes, such as free Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) address blocks. A hierarchical structure of nodes is created from an origin block to a specified lower level, and the hierarchical structure is processed using mapping and eliminating to locate free nodes. A first node group comprises node(s) in use, a second node group identifies intermediate subnets between the first node of the first node group and the specified origin block, and a third node group identifies any subnets hierarchically below node(s) in use. Unused (free) node count information is obtained based on nodes below the origin block that are not in the first node group, the second node group, or the third node group.

  • Patent number: 11652892
Abstract: Disclosed is a method, a computer program product, and a computer system for implementing automatic connection load balancing of database connections between instances of a cluster. Load imbalances are detected globally in the cluster, and can be corrected autonomously by the local instances. The local controller/orchestrator detects the imbalance, computes a target for the instance, and makes any necessary adjustments on the instance, where a server marks the connections to redistribute, and then implements draining and/or planned failover to move sessions.

  • Patent number: 11632339
Abstract: Resource provider specifications, characterizing computing resources of computing resource providers, are received. The reachability of each IP address included in the received specification is determined. An agent is deployed that is operable to determine the value of each of a set of metrics in the environment of the host at which the agent is deployed. The agent determines the value of each metric of the set of metrics in the environment of the relevant host, and communicates the determined values to one or more computing devices that validate whether the resources characterized by the communicated values are sufficient to provide the performance characterized by the received specification and that each ISP router complies with a predetermined policy. For each computing resource provider validated and determined to comprise an ISP router compliant with policy, the specified computing resources are added to a pool of resources for cloud computing.

  • Patent number: 11588866
Abstract: An online system tailors audio segments for users accessing a live audio stream such that the audio segments can be presented to users during a break of the live audio stream. The audio segment can include interactive content as well as one or both of an audio clip and a standard message, each of which serves as a type of introduction to the interactive content. For each user, the online system analyzes characteristics of the user to determine whether to include the standard message in addition to the audio clip, or to withhold the standard message from the audio segment. Therefore, different users accessing the live audio stream can be appropriately introduced to the interactive content which can improve the likelihood that the users interact with the interactive content.

  • Patent number: 11582128
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods of measuring directional latency and congestion in a communication network. A Uni-Directional Latency Determination Unit is connected in a communication network, located between an end-user device and a server. It monitors packets transported between the end-user device and the server, and it estimates a uni-directional latency of packet transport from the end-user device to the server or from the server to the end-user device. It utilizes a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Header and Timestamp Analyzer, to perform an analysis of data contained in timestamps of TCP packet headers of transported packets; and particularly, it analyzes data contained in a TSval field of such TCP packet headers. Congestion mitigation operations are accordingly deployed or activated.
