  • Patent number: 9003064
Abstract: A method for managing a B2B electronic commerce community, wherein a plurality of B2B partners interact with a hub entity via a plurality of B2B applications, includes receiving interaction information describing interactions of a B2B partner with at least one of the B2B applications. The interaction information may describe a material flow, correspondence, transactions, notices, relationships, and so forth, between the B2B partner and the hub. Based at least in part on the received interaction information, the method develops a community manager that supports a common set of community management modules in communication with each of the B2B applications and maintains a single, hub-wide view of each of the B2B partners. The modules may include, as examples, modules for new partner on-boarding, community maintenance, improvement, and networking including social network tooling.

  • Patent number: 8990369
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for providing collaborative quality of service (“QoS”) for service-oriented architectures are described. The application services in the service-oriented architecture implement a QoS application-programming interface (“API”) in addition to the traditional service API. The QoS API may include a QoS reporting interface for reporting values of QoS metrics of the application service, a QoS mechanism interface that exposes details of dependability mechanisms utilized by the application service, and/or a QoS negotiation interface that allows dynamic negotiation of what QoS properties the application service provides and how the QoS properties are provided. Service consumers may utilize the QoS API of the various application services in the service-oriented architecture to collect dependability information regarding the application services and make service provider selection decisions during discovery and dynamic binding.

  • Patent number: 8990380
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for providing discovery of applications for classification of a network packet for performing QoS and acceleration techniques. Remote display protocol traffic associated with a new application not previously included in a list of predetermined applications may be parsed for application information, and the new application may be added to the application list. The remote display protocol traffic may then be classified according to the new application, and network performance may be enhanced and optimized by providing QoS and acceleration engines with packet- or data-specific information corresponding to the newly identified application.

  • Patent number: 8990420
Abstract: A content monitor includes a processor that at least receives requests from a plurality of clients for content, instructs each client to retry their respective request at a first later time if the request is received before a first time, counts the requests to determine if a number of the requests exceeds a threshold if the request is received before a second time, instructs each client to retry their respective request at a second later time if the counted number of requests does not exceed a first threshold, instructs each client to join a multicast group to receive the content when the number of requests exceeds the first threshold, and counts a number of late clients joining the multicast group after a first portion of the content has been sent to the multicast group.

  • Patent number: 8984125
Abstract: In an information processing apparatus, a comparing unit determines whether the response time of each transaction falls within an acceptable time range that is specified previously. For each time window, a first calculation unit calculates a load of processes executed in parallel by the servers in a specified tier, based on transaction data of individual transactions. Further, a second calculation unit calculates a total progress quantity in each time window, based on the transaction data of transactions whose respective response times are determined to fall within the acceptable time range. A determination unit determines a specific load value as a threshold at which the total progress quantity begins to decrease in spite of an increase of the load.

  • Patent number: 8965950
Abstract: Request data is generated at a client device having at least one managed copy client application. The request data includes an identifier (e.g., a uniform resource locator, class ID, etc.) for an integration control (e.g., an ActiveX control, Java applet, etc.) installable on the client device. The request data is transmitted and, in response to the request data, response data (e.g., an object element in an HTML page) is received from a server (e.g., an e-commerce server). The response data facilitates installation of the integration control on the client device, and the integration control provides an interface to facilitate communication between the server and the managed copy client application.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a system for remote monitoring of a space and equipment. The space and equipment may, for example, be a server room and associated network equipment. The system has network appliances, a server, and a client machine. The server receives data from a network appliance. The server may then deliver an application and data to the client machine for viewing and manipulating the data. The client machine may display the data as a mapping, displaying icons associated with the network appliances. The client machine may also graph the data. Further, the client machine may manipulate the organization of the data, the configuration settings of the network appliances, and store map and graph configurations.

  • Patent number: 8954605
Abstract: A method of providing controlled communications receives communication data, at least one communication parameter and recipient information related to a transmission of the communication data to a recipient over the network. A link for accessing a viewer on a recipient's device is generated. The viewer is configured to receive packets of the communication data transmitted to the recipient device over the network, and display the packets of the communication data within the viewer. At least one control protocol relating to the transmission is activated. Once the viewer has been accessed by the recipient via the link, the packets of the communication data are transmitted to the viewer for display within the viewer while the transmission complies with the at least one communication parameter and while the at least one control protocol is adhered to. Systems can be constructed to implement the methods described herein.

  • Patent number: 8954541
Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for the discovery and registration of controlled devices associated with self-describing Modules in a control system are provided. A controlled device associated with a self-describing module is coupled with a master controller on which the self-describing module is installed. A remote monitoring system is communicatively coupled with the master controller, and a remote monitoring system agent is installed on the master controller. The agent discovers a Module associated with the controlled device and queries the Module for a version thereof. The agent then evaluates whether the Module is self-describing. In the event the Module is self-describing, the agent requests a run-time capabilities object from the Module and registers the controlled device with the remote monitoring system according to the capabilities object.
