Abstract: A dispenser includes a cylindrical connecting portion, an internally threaded closure cap permanently attached to the connecting portion, and a container for fluid to be dispensed having an externally threaded neck in engagement with the cap. The connecting portion and the cap are interengaged for both effecting the permanent attachment and for producing a fluid-tight seal therebetween. An annular flexible lip on the cap slopes inwardly of the cap and toward the container into engagement with an annular flange provided on the connecting portion. The lip overlies the container neck and is forced into a tight sealing engagement with the connecting portion upon a tightening of the cap onto the container neck. The flange may likewise overlie the container neck so as to be forced into a tight sealing engagement therewith upon the tightening of the cap onto the container neck.
Abstract: A wall mounted tube holder-dispenser having a horizontal surface to accommodate a glass and toothbrushes, and side flanges extending below the horizontal surface. A forward narrowed extension of the horizontal surface is transversely slit to provide for tube compressing, and the side flanges in this narrowed portion extend above as well as below the horizontal surface. Arcuate recesses are provided in the uppermost portion of these side flanges to snugly receive a winding reel in substantial alignment with the aforementioned transverse compressing slit but spaced above it. The winding reel has knobs at each end which extend beyond the side flanges, a threading slot coextensive with the aforementioned transverse compressing slit, and a small central viewing slot continuous with the threading slot.
Abstract: A device for progressively collapsing large size tubular containers, the device including a handgrip on which is fixedly mounted a frame of a pair of frames with the remaining frame adapted for pivoted opening and closing movement relative the mounted frame. Each frame carries a corrugated roller which mesh with one another and upon rotation collapse a tube passing therebetween. A lever and roller clutch impart unidirectional rotation to the rollers. Cantilever bearings support the rollers and are of a resilient nature to permit displacement of the roller axes while biasing the rollers toward one another and the intermediate tube wall. Roller configuration includes ridges and grooves terminating in surfaces formed on like radii to provide a progressive wedging action on the tube wall. A handgrip is provided which, along with the lever, provides convenient manual control of the tubular container.
Abstract: A claw closure for a plastic threaded nipple on an extruded plastic canister is tiltably carried by an external metallic collar on the nipple. The metallic collar carries a lid with a ring seal held between inner and outer flanges on the lid bottom. An internal ring in the nipple has a radial flange over the threaded nipple and is integral with the external collar. The internal ring has an axial internal thread for 20 liter canisters. The radial faces of the collar and the internal ring are aligned and set off from each other by an annular groove into which the inner flange of the lid bottom extends. An axial venting hole is provided in the wall region of the internal ring.
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for sequential release of articles, particularly suited for aerial reforestation. The apparatus comprises a rotating cylindrical magazine having peripherally arranged receptacles, a stepping selector sleeve with a helical row or row of apertures that align with the receptacles and an outer casing with an opening allowing sequential release of articles as the magazine and selector sleeve rotate.
