The second polymer matrix is coated on a surface of the first polymer matrix. The composite polymer matrix structure can increase mechanical properties. The single ion conductor-containing porous polymer matrix of a submicro-scale can enhance ionic conductivity and the charge/discharge cycle stability.

Several layers of powder are successively deposited one on top of the other, whereby each layer of powder is heated to a specific temperature by means of a focused laser beam applied to a given area corresponding to a selected cross-sectional area of the model of the molded body, before deposition of the next layer. The laser beam is guided over each layer of powder in accordance with the CAD cross-sectional data of the selected cross-sectional area of the model in such a way that each layer of powder is fixed to the layer below it.

First and second sets of substantially parallel, selected rovings are combined using certain knits, leno weaves, or adhesive methods. The rovings are direct-sized with at least a silane sizing and preferably have a linear density between 100 and 2000 grams per thousand meters and are arranged at an average of 3 to 10 ends per inch. A polymeric coating is applied to the fabric at a level of 10 to 150 parts dry weight of resin to 100 parts by weight of the fabric while assuring that the open grid remains open. A method for reinforcing a wall system and a wall segment product utilizing the novel open grid fabric of the present invention are also disclosed.

When utilized in a form comprising fine-diameter substrate elements such as filaments, the resulting product may be usefully employed as an "evanescent" chaff. In the presence of atmospheric moisture, such evanescent chaff undergoes oxidization of the oxidizable metal coating so that the conductivity and radar absorbance/reflectance characteristics of the chaff transiently decays.

The result is an electrically conductive floor and/or wall coating system useful in antistatic rooms such as clean rooms, operating rooms, etc. Coatings can be sol vent based or waterborne urethanes, epoxies, alkyds, polyethylenes, acrylics, vinyls, vinyl acetates, esters, polyesters, sulfones, polysulfones, silicones, polysilicones and others. The preferred mats are carbon fiber "veils" or "paper" generally having a density of about 0.75 oz./square yard.

The recording medium also shows strong light absorptivity and light reflectivity in a wave length of 630-700 nm and, thus, is applicable for the pick up with a semiconductor laser of 630-700 nm, permitting such high density recording as to provide 1.6-1.7 times as high recording density as that attained by currently employed recording media which are adapted to 780-810 nm.

    Abstract: A metallic printed board is formed by laminating an insulation layer on the surface of a metallic sheet as a base, and then electronic parts are mounted on the conductor pattern formed on the surface of the insulation layer. A double-sided printed board mounted thereon electronic parts is placed in parallel. Both the printed boards are supported and fixed monolithically by filling the space between the printed boards with an insulation resin and curing the resin. Furthermore, an insulation resin is laminated on the surface of the printed board in such a manner that the resin may cover the mounted electronic parts, and cured. The heat generated from the electronic parts can be efficiently transmitted to the insulation resins by using a resin having a high thermal conductivity for both of the insulation resins, and the heat is then emitted from the surfaces of the metallic sheet or the insulation resin.

A filling paste and a printed circuit board with use thereof are provided which can conduct an inner-via-hole connection between electrode layers without using a through-hole plating technique.The conductive paste comprises a metallic particle such as copper, an epoxy resin, a hardener, and if necessary, a dispersant. The paste having low viscosity and low volatility under high shear is used to fill holes disposed in a laminated substrate.

    Abstract: A thin adhesive sheet for working semiconductor wafers is described, comprising a light-permeable support and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the support, wherein the adhesive layer is a composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a base polymer, from 1 to 100 parts by weight of a low molecular weight compound containing at least two photopolymerizable carbon-carbon double bonds in the molecule, and from 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of a photopolymerization initiator. This adhesive sheet is firmly bonded to a semiconductor wafer during the wafer cutting process whereafter and during the wafer polishing process. After irradiation, the adhesive force of the adhesive sheet is markedly reduced. As a result, the pick-up operation can be carried out easily. This adhesive sheet is useful in working semiconductor wafers.
