  • Patent number: 10929742
Abstract: A counting mechanism (100) for a dispenser comprising: a first and a second housing part (110, 120) that are rotatable relative to each other; and a counting ring (130) disposed between the housing parts. The first housing part has a protrusion (111) which abuts the counting ring, holding a portion of the counting ring in contact with the second housing part. The relative rotation of the housing parts causes the protrusion to slide against the surface of the counting ring to drive a rolling movement of the counting ring around the circumference of the second housing part, such that a predefined rotation of the housing parts produces an incremental rotational displacement between the counting ring and second housing part to record a count. The counting mechanism provides a large gear reduction ratio in a compact form which is straightforward to manufacture and provides an accurate and reliable record of counts.

  • Patent number: 10919073
Abstract: Described are metering dispensers having a body configured to hold a flowable composition in a chamber, a drive screw coupled to the body, and a plunger threadingly coupled to the drive screw. The plunger includes at least two annular lips that form a fluid seal with the chamber as the plunger travels along the drive screw through the chamber. A base is rotationally coupled to the body with a cam that contacts at least one tab extending externally from the body so that the tab enters at least one low point on the cam by traveling over a trailing edge of the low point, and the trailing edge then prevents the tab from exiting the low point in the direction of the trailing edge.

  • Patent number: 10906133
Abstract: A method for removing a coating of a surface of a wheel. The wheel is provided with screw channels and with a centrally positioned hub opening. Each of the screw channels and the central opening is delimited by an area from which the coating is to be removed. Each of the areas extends annularly around one of the screw channels or around the hub opening. The method is implemented using a laser beam generated by a laser source. The method comprises the steps of positioning an extraction opening directly beneath a center of one of the screw channels or the central opening surrounded by the area, moving the laser beam over the area without masking the area (7) from which the coating is to be removed, and extracting gases and particles produced during the step of removing the coating directly through one of the screw channels or the central opening.
