  • Patent number: 10428618
Abstract: Variable flow resistance systems can be used to regulate fluid flow in various applications, particularly within a subterranean formation. A variable flow resistance system can comprise a chamber configured to induce rotational motion of a fluid flowing therethrough, a fluid inlet coupled to the chamber, and a fluid outlet coupled to the chamber that allows the fluid to exit through at least a sidewall of the chamber. If desired, a plurality of the chambers can be connected in series fluid flow communication with one another.

  • Patent number: 10253889
Abstract: To provide a gate valve such that two connected surfaces perpendicular to each other of a valve plate housing frame can be connected to two side walls perpendicular to each other of a chamber in such a manner that the connected surfaces are in contact with the side surfaces. When screwing a fixation screw perpendicularly into a screw hole formed in one chamber wall of a chamber through a screw insertion hole formed in one frame wall of a valve plate housing frame of a gate valve, and tightening the fixation screw to press and fix the frame wall against and to the first chamber wall, a thrust force in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the fixation screw is generated in the valve plate housing frame by a cam mechanism formed on the fixation screw and in the screw insertion hole, and the other frame wall of the valve plate housing frame is pressed against and fixed to the other chamber wall of the chamber by the thrust force.

  • Patent number: 10242785
Abstract: A valve for metering fluid has an electromagnet for actuating a valve needle controlling a metering opening. The electromagnet generates, upon current flow, a magnetic flux that proceeds via an outer pole, a hollow-cylindrical inner pole, an armature displaceable on an armature guidance region embodied on the valve needle, and a working air gap delimited by the armature and inner pole. Disposed fixedly on the valve needle is an entraining element that penetrates axially displaceably into an entraining element guidance region embodied in the inner pole and has a radial stop shoulder for the armature which delimits a take-up travel or pre-stroke travel. The entraining element is extended into an additional inner pole having a pole surface formed by the stop shoulder, and is embodied magnetically conductively and a magnetic flux between the armature and valve needle is suppressed by way of a magnetically nonconductive material.

  • Patent number: 10240679
Abstract: A high conductance valve for use in fluid delivery systems is comprised of a flat non-circular orifice ridge adjacent to which a control plate having a planar control surface is proximally positioned to adjust the valve effective opening area and thereby the conductance of the valve. The length of the non-circular orifice ridge periphery is substantially greater than the circumference of a similarly sized circular orifice and therefore the realized effective opening area is also substantially greater despite having a similar footprint.

  • Patent number: 10221955
Abstract: One embodiment relates to a valve device. The valve device includes: a valve case; a valve element slidably disposed within a valve chamber defined in the valve case; and a positive pressure spring configured to urge the valve element toward a valve seat in the valve case. The valve element includes an outer circumferential portion having a predetermined length extending along an inner circumference of the valve chamber. The outer circumferential portion includes plural opening portions. And, ribs project from the inner circumference of the valve chamber to enter into the opening portions, thereby limiting movement of the positive pressure spring in a radial direction.

  • Patent number: 10203059
Abstract: A dual-air tap inflation nozzle includes a body, a first cap assembly, a second cap assembly, a slidable valve slidably disposed in the body, and a lever member. The body has a first end, a second end, a first passage and a second passage in communication to the first passage. The first cap assembly is mounted to the first end and has a third diameter. The second cap assembly is mounted to the second end and has a fourth diameter larger than the third diameter. The lever member is abutable against the slidable valve to cause the second passage to move in relation to the first passage.
