Abstract: In a low insertion force connector, fitting members 30 and 40 are constituted respectively by a first cam member 30 and a second cam member 40 opposed to each other in a hood portion 21. In each of the first and second cam members, cam grooves 36, 46 for respectively guiding cam projections 12 and 13 are formed respectively in opposed walls 32, 42 of a frame-like body 31, 41. Fitting guide portions 37, 47 for respectively receiving the cam projections are formed respectively in extension walls 33, 43 extending respectively form the opposed walls. A window 35, 45 is formed in a guide groove 34, 44 formed in the extension wall, and is connected to an outlet of the cam groove. The extension walls of the first cam member are received respectively in the guide grooves in the second cam member, and the extension walls of the second cam member are received respectively in the guide grooves in the first cam member.
Abstract: A connector housing assembly (2,4) having a first shunt contact (20) and circuit, and a second shunt contact (50) and circuit arranged in a first connector housing (8). A second connector housing (6) includes a contact cancelling part (58) for engagement with the first shunt contact (20) thereby opening the first circuit, and a fitting detecting contact (52) for engagement with the second shunt contact (50). The first shunt circuit is opened before the second shunt circuit is made.
Abstract: An RF connector switch (18) includes an outer metallic shell (19) containing a dielectric core (49) and contacts (64, 66) having ends (62, 68) in coaxial ports (21, 35). The contacts (64, 66) include second ends (62, 72) aligned with a port (44) in the shell (19) through which a pin (69) may be inserted to operate the ends (62, 74) as a switch.
Abstract: The connector comprises an insulating support 20 in which are provided uniformly spaced passages and electrical signal contacts, each intended to connect a pad and a track, which are arranged in at least some of the passages.
Abstract: A spacer for use in a branching electrical connector comprises two jaws and clamping device for clamping the jaws together. At least two parallel channels are defined by the jaws, the spacer being adapted to hold one of the channels temporarily at least partly open. Overridable abutment on the spacer yield when sufficient force is applied to the jaws by the clamping device to enable the temporarily open channel to be closed.

Abstract: A permanently attachable key-activated on-off switch comprises a housing with an electrical receptacle on one end and an electrical plug on the other. The electrical receptacle receives a locking pin that is inserted through the prongs of the receptacle and an appliance plug in the receptacle so that the appliance plug is permanently attached. A key switch is attached to the housing which controls and the flow of power between the electrical plug and the electrical receptacle when the electrical plug is inserted into a standard electrical outlet.
