The image forming method is applied to a system including a first client, a second client, a server, and a target image forming device. The method includes registering the target image forming device to the server by the second client, and inputting image forming description information of the target image forming device to the server by the second client, where the image forming description information includes an image forming manner corresponding to an image-forming-data transmission path between the first client and the target image forming device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device comprising a memory and a processor in communication with the memory. The processor is configured to perform displaying a display object associated with processing and including at least a first area and a second area, and detecting an operation of a user on the display object. In a case where the detected operation is an operation on the first area of the display object, the processing associated with the display object is executed. In a case where the detected operation is an operation on the second area of the display object, a setting screen for the processing associated with the display object is displayed.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus detects a change in job information which is information related to an execution of the job, and generates a log related to the processing of the job. In a condition that the job includes a plurality of pages, in a case where the change in the job information is not detected, one log is generated with the job as a unit, and in a case where the change in the job information is detected, a log is generated even during the job based on job information before the change. In a case where the change in the job information is detected at a first point in time, a log is generated as of the first point in time, and in a case where the change from the first point in time in the job information is detected at a second point in time which is a point later than the first point in time, a log from the first point in time to the second point in time is generated.

Abstract: In a system including first and second image forming apparatuses, a hardware processor of the first image forming apparatus guides a user by voice on information about execution of a job, and sets the job based on voice input from the user. When the job cannot be executed by a printer, the hardware processor of the first image forming apparatus transfers the set job to the takeover-destination second image forming apparatus through a network. A hardware processor of the second image forming apparatus that has received the set job takes over and performs the guidance for the user by voice.

Abstract: An image forming system includes a server and a plurality of image forming apparatuses having a print function and connected to the server via a network. The server includes one or more first processors that execute first instructions to provide an administrator screen configured to make a first setting related to the print function and make a second setting for defining an application target of the first setting from among the image forming apparatuses, and manage setting information about the print function of each of the image forming apparatuses based on the first and second settings made on the administrator screen. An image forming apparatus included in the image forming apparatuses includes one or more second processors that execute second instructions to obtain the setting information about the print function of the image forming apparatus via the network, and apply the obtained setting information to the image forming apparatus.

Abstract: A printing system includes a printing device having an embedded digital front end (DFE) and at least one client device that sends print jobs to the printing device. The embedded DFE provides imposition functionality to define imposition settings for a job file. The DFE downloads the job file, a user interface, and an imposition engine to the client device. The client device uses the user interface to enter imposition settings and instructions that are applied to the job file. A visual representation can be made within the user interface to show the imposition setting. After imposition operations are complete, the client device uploads the imposed job file and an imposition template of the imposition settings to the DFE. The embedded DFE stores the imposed job file and the imposition template.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present disclosure relates to an image generation device including an image acquisition unit, a position recognition unit, a boundary line setting unit, and an image compositing unit. The image acquisition unit is mounted to a vehicle, and configured to acquire a plurality of captured images in which the periphery of the vehicle is imaged by a plurality of imaging units having an overlap region where imaging regions thereof partially overlap with each other. The position recognition unit is configured to recognize positions of specific obstacles which are one or more obstacles positioned in the overlap region. Abstract: A method for converting a facsimile includes receiving the facsimile via the public-switched telephone network, generating an enhanced portable document format (EPDF) file that includes information in addition to image information and communicating the EPDF file to an e-mail server. The EPDF file can then be communicated as an attachment to an e-mail message addressed to the intended recipient of the facsimile. A facsimile processing system includes a public-switched telephone network interface, a packet-switched network interface, a mail transfer protocol server, an input agent, a job processor and a translator. The input agent identifies and forwards the incoming facsimile to the job processor. The job processor determines when an EPDF file is desired and communicates appropriate instructions to the translator. The translator generates the EPDF file in response to the instructions and the image information from the facsimile.

The public policy server receives requests from the printing device to process a print job of a document in the private domain. A proxy printing device is created to manage a plurality of printing devices and communicate with the public policy server.
