  • Patent number: 10127530
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented to intelligently and seamlessly provide services to a mobile subscriber on a network based on the subscriber's usage of that or other services. A provisioning mechanism is presented that is able to correlate subscriber profiles with a plurality of Service Level Agreements (SLA) in order to intelligently determine optimal service levels. A logic unit on a network distinguishes usage patterns for a subscriber of a service, correlates the usage patterns with an SLA related to the service, and optimizes the service by modifying the SLA to reflect the usage patterns of the subscriber. Usage patterns for multiple subscribers can be correlated and stored in a segment profile. The segment profile sheds further light on what quality, level, and type of service the subscriber will find relevant. This helps maintain efficient network usage while increasing subscriber satisfaction with their level of service.

  • Patent number: 9990595
Abstract: A system and method for modeling service endpoints of BPMN processes is disclosed. The process is modeled using a BPMN modeling tool. A service endpoint is modeled using the BPMN modeling tool. A uniform resource locator (URL) is generated for the service endpoint, the URL being a web-based address under which a service represented by the process can be called by a business process application. The service endpoint is linked to the process, and then service-provisioned to be executed in the BPMN domain.

  • Patent number: 9836716
Abstract: A system and method for computer assisted event based reconstruction and forensic analysis of vehicle accidents is provided. The system comprises an event capture device that records audio, video, and other information that collectively comprise one or more events related to a vehicle accident. The event data, including the audio, video, and other related information, is provided to an evaluation server where it is stored in a database for forensic analysis of the events comprising the vehicle accident. Event data for a specific automobile accident event is analyzed and compared to similar types of automobile accident event data in order to forensically analyze the specific event and correlate causal relationships with key elements of the event data to determine the likely cause of the accident or the factors contributing to the accident. Correlation information is also stored at the evaluation server to provide historical data points about causal relationships and key elements.

  • Patent number: 9817353
Abstract: A method and system for managing one or more high frequency service items associated with a device. A parent/child relationship between the high frequency service items can be defined to track replacement of components based on a service action related to a child component. A taxonomy of related service items and servicing functions can be specified in an XML document associated with the rendering system. The relationship between the high frequency service items can be indicated utilizing a related component indicator and a HFSI counter. A parent component can be replaced by a maintenance operator and an aggregate child component can be rebuilt by a service engineer in order to retain the component life thereby reducing down time and service costs.

  • Patent number: 9697523
Abstract: A recall management system allows generating, tracking, and verifying product recalls. The system provides notifications of a product recall to affected and unaffected businesses in the supply chain, as well as notification of the public and government agencies that may be affected. Verification of received notifications and the quantity of product removed from supply in response to the recall allows for closure of recall activity. Recalls may be extended over time as additional products needing to be recalled from the particular supplier of the recalled product are identified. Product returns over time are added to the total product recovered and scorecards updated in real-time as the return information is tabulated. Affected businesses and government agencies have visibility to both recall message receipt and product recovered as a part of total product recalled.

  • Patent number: 9697495
Abstract: A processor-driven method provides a step-by-step process to assess an organization's ability to meet project and contract standards resulting from a negotiated contract. This assessment also highlights the most efficient path for performance and identifies strengths and weaknesses in the organizations abilities. The method can aid an organization's front line sale force in identifying resources that are optimal for use in a particular contract and can generate a back end work flow for implementation and tracking of program deliverables by administrators, program or contract managers and others based on the requirements of a negotiated project. The identification of key project phases and solutions and the ability to build process flows based on a library of the organization's operational information, e.g., resources, tools, artifacts, within intersections of the phases and solutions, allows an organization to determine best path to contract completion. The best path may optimize cost, time, and personnel.

  • Patent number: 9684906
Abstract: Footage used in an aired show by a broadcaster, broadcasting network or similar entity can be more easily tracked and reported to rights holders. An electronic cutsheet can be created for a video package. The electronic cutsheet includes information identifying one or more footage items included in the video package and any rights holders associated with the footage item. Using the cutsheets, a number of playlists can be created or otherwise provided. Each playlist is associated with at least one video package. The playlist can then be associated with a show to indicate that the show has aired and thus that the playlist and its included packages have actually been used. A report can then be generated that indicates at least one rights holder and the number of instances in which a footage item associated with the indicated rights holder was included in an aired show.

  • Patent number: 8554692
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a computerized method and system for tracking consumer replaceable units (CRU) used in products such as printing systems. In the method the CRUM ID and destination of the consumable is retrieved on shipment from a supplier. When the consumer replaceable unit is installed in a device such as printing system, the device reports the installation back to a management application. The management application then proceeds to authorize the consumable for the reporting printing system, offer to transfer ownership, or when the printing system is not a managed device then offers a customer the option of being billed for the consumable. The management application has the option of disabling printing with customer replaceable unit when reassignment or intent to purchase is not available. When the consumable is returned the management application can ascertain if the customer replaceable unit was used by its assigned printing device.

  • Patent number: 8463616
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for scheduling when to run a process to take advantage of time-varying input prices by predicting the “rank” of the current actual input price among future input prices. The rank is that portion of a future time period during which the input price will be less than the current actual input price. An “operational cutoff” is set based on the portion of time during which a process should run in order to produce a target output amount. Periodically, the actual input price is determined, and its rank is predicted. The predicted rank is then compared with the operational cutoff. If the predicted rank is below the cutoff, then it makes economic sense to run the process. Otherwise, it would be cheaper not to run the process at present but to wait a while in expectation that the input price will drop.
