Abstract: A method of manufacturing an absorbent core for a diaper including providing a nonwoven sheet, the nonwoven sheet including three coextensive longitudinal trisections, a central trisection and two outer trisections, and further including three coextensive latitudinal trisections, called a front portion, a crotch portion and a rear portion, applying a SAP only to the front and crotch portions of the central longitudinal trisection of the nonwoven sheet, and at least partially folding the two outer longitudinal trisections over the SAP in a triple fold so as to form a sandwiched absorbent core including a bottom layer of the nonwoven sheet, a layer of the SAP and two upper layers of the nonwoven sheet.
Abstract: The invention refers to a prewrapped good, notably a prewrapped sanitary napkin, which requires less handling to open and apply to the user's underwear, allowing for less hand contact and therefore greater hygiene.
