Patent number: 10858273Abstract: A method and system of treatment of agricultural and industrial wastewaters that contain high concentrations of suspended solids, nitrogen, and phosphorus compounds is disclosed. The method and system includes pre-treating the wastewater, controlling the amount of coagulants used, and controlling the mean velocity used for mixing, surface loading rate, and solids loading rate. The method and system functions as a sedimentation unit and gas flotation unit (solid/liquid separator). The pH of the effluent wastewater is stabilized within the separator by ensuring that there is sufficient alkalinity to buffer the wastewater. Sufficient gas is produced in the coagulation reactions to float and concentrate the solids, which results in as high as 99 percent reduction in suspended solids, a 96 percent reduction of the phosphorus concentration, and a 50 percent reduction of the nitrogen concentration in the effluent from the separator.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2016Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: FARM PILOT PROJECT COORDINATION, INC.Inventors: Robert P. Patent number: 10766789Abstract: A system for flue-gas hydrate-based desalination using LNG cold energy belongs to the field of hydrate technology application. The CO2 in the flue-gas is captured based on the hydrate formation. Two stage formation chambers are set to improve the hydrate formation. The two steps to purify the hydrates respectively are the gas separation and the liquid separation. The two methods of hydrate dissociation to realize the recycling of the waste heat of flue-gas and the CO2 are the heat-exchanged and the exhausted. The present invention realizes the integrated CO2 capture and seawater desalination with a proper structure and a subtle system and solves the cold energy source for hydrate-based desalination by means of using LNG cold energy. The two stage formation chambers solve the capture of CO2 in the flue-gas and guarantee the hydrate formation amounts. The two types of dissociation chambers decrease the heat emission by using the waste heat of flue-gas and realize the recycling and storage of CO2.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2016Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: DALIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Yongchen Song, Jianan Zheng, Mingjun Yang, Weiguo Liu, Jiafei Zhao, Yi Zhang

Patent number: 10730778Abstract: A method and apparatus for increasing dewatering efficiency of a solids-laden liquid stream in a wastewater treatment facility, whereby a liquids-solids stream is pumped into a mixing apparatus in a closed-channel liquid flow conduit configuration, where the liquids-solids stream is intensely mixed with air and polymer in a mixing zone created by an adjustable flow restriction device, performing similar to a venturi to increase the velocity, agitation, and turbulence of the liquids-solids stream internal to the mixer, where the introduction of air and polymer to the stream is introduced independent of mixing energy. Compared with current methods and apparatuses to mix polymer with solids-laden wastewater, the present method and apparatus requires less energy, where it enables the addition of air independent of mixing energy, and it creates a zone of mixing with greater mixing efficiency via increased turbulence.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2017Date of Patent: August 4, 2020Inventor: F. Patent number: 10710913Abstract: A substrate treatment unit applies surface treatment to a semiconductor substrate by using a chemical solution. The chemical solution in which metal is dissolved by substrate treatment is discharged into a storage tank and stored. A polyacid supplying unit supplies polyacid of a deletion complex with a deficient portion into the storage tank. The polyacid of deletion complex with a deficient portion is mixed into a used chemical solution containing the metal, and a pH value of the mixed solution is adjusted to between 2 and 3 to capture the metal dissolved in the chemical solution in the deficient portion of the polyacid. In addition, a counter cation is put into the chemical solution so that the polyacid in which the metal is captured is precipitated to be separated from the chemical solution, and thus the metal contained in the chemical solution during the treatment of the semiconductor substrate can be removed to enable the chemical solution to be reclaimed.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2016Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd.Inventor: Ayumi Higuchi
