  • Patent number: 11832171
Abstract: A method for toggling of a management entity in a telecommunications network is described, in which the network operator has defined at least one given set of at least three management entities. In one aspect, the method includes, for a first management entity of the set, as long as said first management entity is in service, during the registration of at least one client device on the network, the first management entity taking charge of this client device. The client device records the identity of the first management entity, as well as the identity of a second management entity of said set, which is provided to it by the first management entity. The first management entity shares or synchronizes with said second management entity the context data relating to this client device. If the first management entity goes off-service, each second management entity is informed thereof and takes charge of the client devices for which it has shared or synchronized the context data with the first management entity.

  • Patent number: 11804940
Abstract: Devices and systems of sensing, resource selection and control signaling for feedback-less and feedback-based NR-V2X sidelink communication are described. Resource reservation and selection for sidelink retransmissions based on HARQ feedback are described for unicast, groupcast, and broadcast blind retransmissions. After exchanging HARQ feedback capability information for different types of communications, a HARQ-dependent or HARQ-independent resource selection occurs. Look-ahead and/or chain-based resource selection and reservation signaling is used, in which a single resource or some or all of the resources selected are signaled as reserved. Further resource selection of a single additional resource may occur after an initial resource selection. The resource selection for retransmissions may be adapted using a RSRP or distance threshold.

  • Patent number: 11777638
Abstract: Techniques are directed to using communication metric data associated with multiple modulation schemes to achieve a link quality metric that is representative of the link as a whole, across the multiple modulation schemes that may be employed on the link. A calculation of a link quality metric may be triggered by a network layer transmission attempt, with communication metrics accumulated at the link layer of the link. A filter used to calculate the link quality metric may be updated based on network layer transmission attempts, based on successful and/or unsuccessful transmissions at a Media Access Control (MAC) layer of the link. More generally, a calculation of link quality may be triggered by a higher layer transmission attempt while being calculated based on transmission attempts at a lower layer of the link.
