  • Patent number: 9853800
Abstract: Method and radio node (500) for controlling a change of communication mode between transmit mode and receive mode according to a Time Division Duplex, TDD, scheme. The radio node has at least two parallel branches (504, 06) for transmission and reception of radio signals, wherein the branches currently operate in a first communication mode. The radio node obtains one or more indication signals (S1A, S1B) generated by one or more of the branches to indicate that the first mode has been turned off. When it is determined that the first communication mode has not been turned off in a faulty branch, e.g. by not receiving an indication signal in time from that branch, the first mode is disabled in the faulty branch, and/or the faulty branch is reported to a supervision center (510). Thereby, it can be discovered when one of the branches is misaligned or otherwise faulty and suitable actions can be taken for repairing or replacing the faulty branch.

  • Patent number: 9531494
Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method may include transmitting a reference signal from an access point over a shared spectrum to a user equipment (UE), and receiving a measurement of the reference signal from the UE. A second method may include receiving at a UE over a shared spectrum a reference signal from an access point, and transmitting a measurement of the reference signal to the access point. In each of the first and second methods, the measurement may indicate interference with the shared spectrum from outside of a clear channel assessment (CCA) range of the access point.

  • Patent number: 9515935
Abstract: A virtual extensible local area network (“VXLAN”) system includes servers having VXLAN tunnel end points (“VTEP”) and virtual machines (“VMs”), multiple routers to transmit network data using bidirectional groups (“BIDIRs”) and rendezvous points (“RPs”), and an associated management and provisioning entity (“MPE”) adapted to arrange BIDIRs dynamically based upon network traffic such that traffic is more evenly distributed across the VXLAN. Some of the routers can be preconfigured as potential RPs, and the MPE can activate and deactivate these routers to and from RP status as needed. The MPE creates and rearranges BIDIRs based upon volume thresholds of traffic being reached in BIDIRs, such as by splitting overloaded BIDIRs. Network traffic can be monitored by VTEPs and RPs.

Abstract: The systems, methods and apparatuses described herein provide an apparatus configured for ensuring proximity of a communication partner. In one aspect, the apparatus may comprise a communication port and a processor. The processor may be configured to send a request to and receive a response from the communication partner via the communication port using modulated signals, measure a time period between sending and receiving using timings of modulated signals' symbols, and receive a secondary value from the communication partner. The secondary value may be verified to include at least a portion of the request and a portion of the response, and may have been sent with authenticating data to authenticate it. The time period may be compared with a predefined threshold calculated based on a predefined maximum allowed distance to the communication partner. In another aspect, an apparatus may be configured to ensure its proximity to a communication partner.

  • Patent number: 9467537
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving data are disclosed. The method for transmitting data, comprising encapsulating one or multiple media access control protocol data units (MPDU) as a group media access control protocol data unit (G-MPDU) based on a length of the group media access control protocol data unit G-MPDU; fragmenting a current MPDU according to a residual length to obtain a fragmented MPDU when the residual length is insufficient to encapsulate the current MPDU; encapsulating the fragmented MPDU to the G-MPDU; and transmitting the encapsulated G-MPDU. The method ensures a high data transmission rate and does not wasting excess time to execute the fragmentation processing. The method also ensures a high resource utilization rate, utilizing fully the remaining length of the data unit.

  • Patent number: 9461781
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to inhibit an increase in the amount of A/N resources, without changing the timing at which the error detection result of an SCell is notified when UL-DL configurations to be configured for each of the unit bands are different, from the timing at which the error detection result is notified when just a single unit band is configured. A control unit (208) transmits, using a first unit band, a response signal including error detection results about data received with both the first unit band and a second unit band. In a first composition pattern set for the first unit band, an uplink communication subframe is set to be the same timing as at least an uplink communication subframe of a second composition pattern set for the second unit band.

  • Patent number: 9445427
Abstract: A downlink scheduler schedules downlink transmissions to a plurality of user terminals over a shared downlink channel and allocates resources for the downlink transmissions. For making scheduling decisions, the downlink scheduler computes a resource metric to compare the available resources that are being allocated. The resource metric is based on the individual scheduling metrics of the user terminals. Allocation of the resources is performed in an iterative fashion. A first resource is selected based on the resource metric and allocated to a user terminal based on the corresponding individual scheduling metrics of the user terminals. The next resource is then selected and allocated. This allocation process continues until all RBGs are allocated, or until all user terminals are served. In one embodiment, the resource metrics for the remaining resources and individual scheduling metrics for the remaining user terminals are computed/recomputed during each iteration.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques useful in a network comprising a plurality of network nodes each configured to apply one or more service functions to traffic that passes through the respective network nodes. A network node receives packets encapsulated in a service header that includes information defining a first set of context headers stacked into an association of metadata that is relevant to one or more service functions within a service path comprised of one or more network nodes. The network node performs at least one of the service functions in the service path and rewrites the service header with a second set of context headers. The second set of context headers include metadata derived from performing the service function(s) at the network node.
