  • Patent number: 9997175
Abstract: An electric arm lifting and turntable's auto-stop assembly of a record player is revealed. A record player is disposed with a power-driven turntable, a rotatable and movable arm disposed on one side of the turntable, a lift mechanism used for pushing against and moving the arm upward, and a sensor. The arm is moveable over the turntable. The sensor is arranged at an arm rotating shaft of the arm and used for sending a signal while detecting that the arm is moved to a lift point over the turntable. The lift mechanism is activated to move the arm upward and the turntable is stopped simultaneously for protecting a needle on the arm while the sensor detects that the arm has been moved from the turntable to the lift point.

  • Patent number: 7701820
Abstract: An optical disc apparatus for recording information on a rewritable optical disc having a power calibration area (PCA) moves an optical pickup for optimum recording power calibration (OPC) from an innermost end to outward of the PCA, and stores an address where RF signal is first detected. If the stored address coincides with an address at the innermost end of the PCA, or if a usable area between the two addresses is smaller than to enable one-time OPC, the apparatus obtains an optimum recording power by overwriting on a used area at or near the innermost end of the PCA, and performs DC erase using the obtained optimum recording power. This enables DC erase and restoration of the PCA back to a usable area even if the PCA has no usable area at its innermost end, and even if it is difficult to detect a usable area in the PCA.

  • Patent number: 7072264
Abstract: A VCO, which good temperature characteristics, high frequency accuracy, and high phase accuracy is provided as an LSI, without making its master clock frequency operate the VCO high. The VCO includes a digital VCO, a phase modulator, and a frequency band limiting element. The digital VCO outputs an oscillating frequency clock and a phase difference lower than an output cycle resolution at the same timing as the output of the oscillating frequency clock. The phase modulator makes side-band components of the output from the digital VCO move from positions near the fundamental frequency to farther bands by modulating the phase of the output from the digital VCO based on the phase difference.

  • Patent number: 6987714
Abstract: Header regions are formed by dividing a groove or grooves. Each of the header regions is provided with two ID sections G-ID1, G-ID2 storing address information and a track center detection mark section, arranged between the two ID sections, so as to be used for detecting the track center.
