Abstract: A power management system may include processing circuitry and storage media storing instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry cause the processing circuitry to perform operations. The operations may include receiving an overload indicator indicative of an overload condition of a power grid that supplies electrical power to multiple consumers and implementing a load reduction plan for a consumer in response to the overload indicator. The load reduction plan may indicate one or more electrical components of the consumer for which to reduce respective power draws. The operations may also include sending one or more control signals to the electrical components in accordance with the load reduction plan to change respective operating states of the electrical components such that the respective power draws of the electrical components are reduced.
