Abstract: A guard system is disclosed for protecting patients and medical health professionals from the transmission of airborne contagions during the administration of vaccinations. The system includes a frame having a generally rectangular shape; a transparent sheeting attached to the frame creating a barrier against the transmission of airborne contagions, the sheeting having a front side opposite a back side; an aperture in the transparent sheeting, the aperture sized for administering a vaccination to a patient seated on the back side of the transparent sheeting from the front side; a movable screen portion for covering at least a portion of the aperture; wherein the movable screen portion moves from a closed position to an open position to facilitate the administration of the vaccination.
Abstract: A window system for use in windows, sliding glass doors, skylights, casement windows and other openings in a building. The window system enables different windows of the same building to be individually customized for different impacts of coastal area weather and security concerns and also have the same external appearance despite employing various window protection steps. Panels, interior or exterior, are secured to the header and sill. Windows may be covered with exterior panels or include interior panels or impact resistant glass when the window is high on the building, or where security is a concern Windows including casement windows and other building penetrations may also accommodate interior panels, in combination with exterior protection. The window framing may have a uniform exterior appearance, notwithstanding different levels of protection.
Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to photovoltaic module for use on a roof. In some embodiments, the photovoltaic module may include a solar cell and a polymeric continuous fiber tape. In some embodiments, the polymeric continuous fiber tape comprises a polymer and glass fiber. In some embodiments, the glass fiber is present in an amount greater than about 50% by weight based on a total weight of the polymeric continuous fiber tape. In some embodiments, the polymeric continuous fiber tape comprises an elastic modulus greater than 1 GPa and an optical transmission greater than 80%.

Abstract: An automobile air-inlet grille sealing strip with a soft hollow structure, including: a clamping strip and a soft structure. The clamping strip includes a strip-shaped member and a U-shaped groove. The strip-shaped member and the U-shaped groove are integrally formed, and the U-shaped groove includes a curved arm, a first straight arm and a second straight arm arranged at two ends of the curved arm. The inner side of the second straight arm is provided with a relatively inclined smooth transitional curved surface. The U-shaped groove extends outward along an opening direction of the second straight arm. The soft structure is arranged on the inner side of the second straight arm, the soft structure is in a long strip shape and is provided with a through hole close to the first end of the curved arm.
Abstract: Improvements in a cosmetic equipment shield that provides a cosmetic shield that can cover all of the equipment that can exist on the roof of a building is disclosed. The cosmetic shield convers the roof equipment on one or more sides to improve the visual appearance of the building. The shield allows air movement through the cosmetic shield. The metal strips are staggered, offset or otherwise configured so they prevent viewing through the metal strips or louvers, but allows air flow. The cosmetic equipment shield is secured to the roof to resist most weather conditions from rain to wind, hot temperatures and freezing temperatures. The cosmetic equipment shield is configured for nearly infinite straight walls and can also include angle brackets to change the direction of the shield to 90 degrees or 270 degrees or can be angled slightly in a curved appearance.

Abstract: Present invention relates to the field of Building Integrated Solar systems that help in generating electricity. It is a solar board that can be used as a roof, façade or other building applications. It also relates to a method of preparing, designing and producing the Solar Cement Boards by integrating the Cement boards with that of solar panels to form an envisaged single entity. The Solar Cement Board SCB comprises a plurality of Solar energy capturing components like Photo Voltaic (PV) cells or the like, sandwiched over specially treated Fiber cement board or the likes. The SCB comprises of a toughened glass and/or a thin film on top, ethylene vinyl acetate film as an encapsulate in the middle, and polyvinyl fluoride film as a back sheet. The SCB with top, middle and a back sheet is laminated together with Fiber cement board or the like providing a water-resistant enclosure. This is ultimately a unique integrated solar product.
Abstract: Disclosed is a power transmission tower having elevatable trusses. The power transmission tower has a tower head, a tower body, and a tower leg. The power transmission tower comprises a truss set symmetrically arranged at both sides of the tower body and an elevating device which is capable of driving the displacement of the truss set. The elevating device comprises a power unit arranged within the tower body, and a linear slide module secured to side of the tower body. The linear slide module is connected to the power unit and the truss set, respectively.
Abstract: The invention relates to a removable deflector for protecting the feet of a structure, which corrode following infiltration of water under the bottom plates and which weakens these areas. The invention concerns a removable device enabling the positioning of protection for the feet of storage tanks without a shut-down of production. The device according to the invention is a deflector element and a deflector assembly consisting of a plurality of deflector elements, capable of being positioned one after the other in order to surround the feet of the wall of the structure.
Abstract: A modular window assembly including a base frame, an interior frame cover, and an exterior frame cover. The base frame has a first complementary fastener located on an exterior face and a second complementary fastener located on an interior face. Each of the interior and exterior frame covers have a complementary fastener configured to releasably mate with the first and second complementary fasteners of the interior face and exterior face, respectively.
Abstract: A support for installing facing materials such as ceramic tiles on a substrate, such as, floors, walls and ceilings. The support plate has a plurality of spaced apart raised portions and recesses in the plate material, and a plurality of openings extending through the top surface and bottom surface of the plate material. The openings exposing a mat layer attached to the bottom of the support plate. Support plates of the invention are used for tile installations between a substrate and tile. Thin-set mortar that is used to secure the tile to the support plate flows into the recesses and into the openings forming a continuous bond between the mortar, openings and mat layer to provide a strong bond between the support plate, mortar and the tiles.
Abstract: A stealth pole includes a plurality of canister sections, each of the plurality of canister sections including a spine, a first splice plate located on a first end of the spine, a second splice plate located on a second end of the spine, and a canister cover that covers the spine, the first splice plate and the second splice plate. A method for reinforcing the stealth pole includes removing the canister cover from at least one of the plurality of canister sections; attaching a plurality of stiffener members to the first splice plate and the second splice plate; and applying tension, compression or a combination thereof to the plurality of stiffener members. The plurality of stiffener members reinforce the spine of the canister section. A reinforced stealth pole is also described.

Abstract: A device for stabilizing a sheet material to a stud member includes two side members that sandwich the stud member and a back member joining the two side members together. One or more protrusions may extend inward from one or both of the side members so that the device is frictionally fit and secured to the stud member. A shelf extends away and outward from the back member so that the sheet material can be placed on the shelf before the sheet member is fastened to the stud member. The device can include an angled portion at the bottom of the back member so that a hammer can apply a force to the angled portion to cause the device to move away from the stud member for removal.

The hollow composite beam using a dual-web can secure space efficiency using a tendon installed in an internal space of a dual-web and can efficiently adjust a tensioning force using the tendon anchored by an anchoring wedge and a separable bolt, wherein the dual-web is formed as a web of a steel beam having a bottom flange on which a deck plate is supported.

Abstract: This application relates to roof vents with diverters that prevent or reduce the likelihood that water or other debris can be driven through the vent by wind. For example, a roof vent can include a lower portion and an upper portion attached to the lower portion at an upslope edge, the upper portion angling away from the upslope edge to create a space therebetween. The roof vent can also include a front opening between the lower portion and the upper portion at a downslope edge of the upper portion to allow airflow into and out of the space. The roof vent can include a diverter positioned downslope of the front opening and attached to the lower portion for preventing or reducing the likelihood that water or other debris can be driven through the vent by wind.
