  • Patent number: 9503455
Abstract: To control access to a source storage device shared by a plurality of host systems, methods and systems include confirming a presence of an application on each host system of the plurality of host systems accessing the storage device. After confirming the presence of the application on each host system accessing the storage device, the application is run allowing each host system to access the storage device. A request is received from a new host system to access the storage device. A presence of the application is verified on the new host system. If the presence of the application is verified on the new host system, the new host system is provided with access to the storage device. If the presence of the application is not verified on the new host system, the new host system is denied access to the storage device.

  • Patent number: 9491113
Abstract: Systems and methods for the generation and management of content requests generated by client computing devices are provided. A client computing device initiates a browse session with a content provider by establishing a remote browse session between the client computing device and a network computing provider. The network computing provider can utilize profile information corresponding to the content provider to determine a number of concurrent network connections to establish with a content provider. The network computing provider and the client computing device exchange browse session state data and client interaction data.

  • Patent number: 9491073
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring the performance associated with fulfilling resource requests and determining optimizations for improving such performance are provided. A processing device obtains and processes performance metric information associated with processing a request corresponding to two or more embedded resources. The processing device uses the processed performance metric information to determine an allocation of one or more domains to be associated with the two or more embedded resources. In some embodiments, in making such a determination, the processing device assesses performance metric information collected and associated with subsequent requests for the two or more embedded resources using each of a variety of alternative allocations of domains associated with the two or more embedded resources. The processing device may also consider a number of factors, including domain selection criteria obtained from an original content provider.

  • Patent number: 9479606
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided to broker and control media resources. In particular, solutions are described which broker and control a media request sent from an application server. The media request is received at a device capable of brokering and controlling the media request such that a media server capable of providing the request may be selected. A screening functionality is also presented such that an optimal media server may be selected based on a comparison between information contained in an incoming media request and information contained in a previously provisioned Service Level Agreement; such information may relate to media service and capacity information. Further, solutions are presented to support providing media services in heterogeneous environments where an application server and a media server may communication using different media control protocols.

  • Patent number: 9451017
Abstract: A transaction monitoring and tracing system which combines transactional performance monitoring aspects with infrastructure performance and utilization measures, like e.g. used memory or CPU load of transaction executing computing infrastructure. The system uses two types of agents deployed to the monitored system, a transaction and process agent, which is deployed to a process executing monitored transactions, and a host agent, which is deployed to a computer system executing processes monitored by a transaction and process agent. The transaction and process agent provides transaction tracing and process infrastructure measurements, the host agent provides host or operating system infrastructure measurements. All three types of measurements are tagged by the corresponding agent in a way that allows a later correlation of corresponding tracing and measurement data by an external monitoring node.

  • Patent number: 9419926
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for delivering media content. The system includes at least one recipient that may be associated with at least one recipient rule. The system also includes a sending entity capable of transmitting a multimedia message addressed to the recipients. The sending entity can also specify delivery rules in the message. In this regard, the multimedia message includes media content. The system further includes a network entity capable of receiving the multimedia message and identifying any recipient rules, sending entity rules and/or network rules associated with the multimedia message. The network entity can then deliver the media content to the recipients based upon respective rules. The network entity can also be capable of processing the media content based upon the rules before delivering the media content, such as by transcoding or truncating at least a portion of the media content prior to delivery.

  • Patent number: 9407512
Abstract: The present invention sets forth a method and apparatus for controlling terminal's access to a wireless network. When PCC rules in PCRF or account expense information in OCS have been updated, the PCRF or OCS will notify a MDM server; the server determines access status of application(s) based on information in the notification and notifies the terminal; the terminal will update locally stored access status of the application based on access status of the application contained in the received notification message; when an application on the terminal initiates a request to access the wireless network, the terminal determines whether it is rejected or allowed to access the wireless network based on the locally stored access status of the application.
