Patent number: 5383481Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning internal combustion engines in which a cleaning fluid is cyclically drawn from a reservoir by a pump, flushed through the block of the internal combustion engine, and returned to the reservoir by the pump, is improved by providing it with a pair of cleaning fluid reservoir tanks. Also, tank selection valves alternatively couple one or the other of the reservoir tanks to the pump, to the exclusion of the other tank. In one application of the improved apparatus one tank can be dedicated for use to clean gasoline powered internal combustion engines to preserve the characteristic color of the cleaning fluid, while the other tank can be utilized to clean diesel powered internal combustion engines. In another application the system is operated through first flushing and soaking periods and through second flushing and soaking periods. A first tank in the pair is used to initially pump and recover cleaning fluid during the first flushing and soaking periods.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1992Date of Patent: January 24, 1995Assignees: Erik Waelput, Peter Hollub, Joseph LentiniInventor: Erik Waelput

Patent number: 5372153Abstract: A pallet cleaner especially suitable for use in cleaning plastic pallets. The cleaner includes a vertically oriented horizontally extending chamber having a vertically oriented entry opening at one end of the chamber and a vertically oriented exit opening at the other end of the chamber. The pallets are loaded on edge into the chamber through the vertically oriented entry opening, moved through the chamber on edge while a heated pressurized fluid is directed against the upper and lower sides of the pallet, and thereafter are moved on edge out of the chamber through the exit opening. The cleaner further includes wheels so that the cleaner is portable and may be rolled to the site of pallets to be cleaned rather than requiring the pallets to be cleaned to be brought to the site of the cleaner.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1993Date of Patent: December 13, 1994Assignee: Precision Dispense, Inc.Inventor: Joseph R. Patent number: 5312197Abstract: An improved surgical scrub brush for providing an aseptic skin condition for surgeons and other hospital personnel who participate in surgery. The scrub brush provides for the simultaneous and expeditious aseptic cleansing of the digital, inter-digital, and web areas of the hand as well as the forearm, while at the same time reducing or eliminating skin abrasion and trauma brought about by numerous scrubbings. The scrub brush includes a soft cleansing pad having channels that allow for simultaneous use so that the user can select either bristles or the soft cleansing pad to reduce skin trauma. Additionally, the brush includes an attached fingernail cleaner and reservoir for dispensing antiseptic soap or skin conditioners.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1993Date of Patent: May 17, 1994Inventor: Daniel J. Abramson

Patent number: 4325234Abstract: An adjustable agitation system for an automatic washing machine, a drive shaft oscillatable about a first axis and an agitator oscillatable about a second axis. First and second drive members are mounted for oscillation with the drive shaft and agitator and form a plurality of selectively engageable finger and slot arrangements for oscillating the agitator through a selected one of a plurality of arcs in response to oscillation of the drive shaft through a predetermined arc.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1980Date of Patent: April 20, 1982Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventor: Daniel N. Patent number: 3978695Abstract: The dyeing apparatus effects a programmed dyeing pattern on the travelling strip. This apparatus includes a housing provided with a through channel for passage of the travelling strip through a treatment station in the housing. Treatment medium such as a dye is delivered to the treatment station via a channel perpendicular to the strip. In addition, compressed air is delivered to the treatment station via a funnel-shaped channel downstream of the station to remove excess dye from the yarn and to obtain a clean well-defined dyed area on the strip. A similar funnel-shaped channel upstream of the treatment station serves to seal the elongated channel against the treatment medium. Also, an exhaust channel is provided to remove excess treatment medium and air.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 1975Date of Patent: September 7, 1976Assignee: Sulzer Brothers LimitedInventors: Rene Hurzeler, Paul Lincke
