  • Patent number: 5529215
Abstract: A personal defense baton is disclosed which which may be utilized to direct a spray of a personal defense gas toward an assailant. The personal defense baton of this invention comprises an elongate tube member which includes at one end a compartment for receiving a defense spray container. The defense spray container has a valve for dispersal therethrough of a personal defense gas and a discharge nozzle which communicates with the valve so as to direct a spray of the personal defense gas from the container in a generally axial direction from the end of tube member in which the container is located when the valve is actuated. The baton also includes apparatus for manually actuating the valve without bringing the actuating hand near the discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5330080
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing liquids directly from a vertically oriented inverted container comprises a body to secure to the mouth of the container. The body defines a pair of first and second chambers that communicate with a pair of first and second passageways. A pair of valves is adapted to selectively open and close the first and second chambers. Finally, a valve control mechanism is operative linked to the valves and sequentially opens the second valve and the first valve.

  • Patent number: 5217146
Abstract: It is often necessary to manufacture casting masses out of several components which must be homogeneously mixed in a specific ratio. It can thereby happen that such casting masses harden so quickly that they must be processed in the shortest time possible in order not to react with one another or harden already in the mixing area or in the pipelines and thus result in the possible destruction of the device. The components are in the arrangement of the invention each moved by a pump out of the respective storage tanks into a synchronous dosing mechanism which consists of a dosing chamber for each component, from where the respective now dosed amount of each component is moved with the help of a dosing piston into a flow mixer, with the dosing pistons being thereby mechanically connected and operated by a common drive, and the flow mixer moving the now ready casting mass directly into a mold. The mixing ratios can in this manner be well maintained.
