  • Patent number: 4898313
Abstract: A transport device for transporting objects in the form of strip segments while causing them to rotate through up to at least 90.degree. about the axis along which said objects are being transported. The device comprises two walls (50) disposed parallel to each other, with means (51) for holding these walls spaced apart from each other in such a manner as to allow the objects to be transported to pass therebetween, and in that said walls are twisted together about their longitudinal axis so that the slot between them at one of their ends (52) is oriented in a direction of up to at least 90.degree. relative to the direction of the slot (53) at their other end.

  • Patent number: 4874121
Abstract: A web feed tractor mechanism 10 is illustrated in the drawings for moving a web material in a longitudinal direction in which the web material has perforations along edge sections 16 and 18 for enabling precision movement of the web particularly for use in computer output printing. The web tractor mechanism has two parallel tractors 34 and 36 that support and drive tractor drive belts 54 and 56. The belts 54 and 56 have drive pins 70 and 72 respectively for engaging the perforations along the opposite side edge section 16 and 18. Preferably the pins 70 have a reduced cross-section that is both longitudinally and laterally symmetrical, with lateral and longitudinal dimensions that are substantially equal. The surfaces of the pins 70 engage the inside edge of the perforations and drive the web forward while preventing lateral movement of the edge section 16 to provide lateral stability.

  • Patent number: 4869411
Abstract: A roll feed apparatus in which a plate material is held in a pair of rolls and fed intermittently, in a predetermined length at a time, by the oscillated operation of the rolls, the distance between the rolls is adjusted by a material thickness adjusting mechanism, the power of the rolls for holding the material is adjusted by a holding power adjusting mechanism, and the length of each feed of the material is adjusted by a feed length adjusting mechanism. The material thickness adjusting mechanism, the holding power adjusting mechanism and the feed length adjusting mechanism are automatically numerically controlled by an electrical control system without direct manual operation.

  • Patent number: 4869412
Abstract: Apparatus for advancing, belaying, or retracting a longitudinal element, such as a cable, by means of engagement with an endless belt driven by a reversible motor in a predetermined endless path geometrically formed to guide and constrain the belt in the path by means of camming action along and around a support element. The cable is free to enter the apparatus engaging the belt at either end of the support element, to be advanced, belayed, or retracted by the belt along this predetermined path.

  • Patent number: 4858835
Abstract: The machine for the actuation of needles for the realization of electric motors field windings is made of a case internally supporting a main shaft in revolving mode which is set in rotation by motor means; on the main shaft, means that perform an up and down oscillating motion at each complete rotation of the said shaft are provided in oscillating mode around an axis which is perpendicular to the axis of the shaft; at one end of such means a winding shaft is pivoted; into which are through cables that realize the winding on the slots of a stator, the winding shaft performs a reciprocating traverse motion driven by the said oscillating means; on the winding shaft a tube supporting the winding needles is concentrically inserted in oscillating mode, and it is set in reciprocating rotatory motion by kinematic motion means connected to the main shaft which accomplish an oscillation of the tube for each stroke end of the winding shaft; on the free ends of the tube and of the shaft concentric to it the winding need

  • Patent number: 4858848
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette of very small type having a front lid pivotably secured to the cassette housing so as to open or close a front opening portion, and a guide portion arranged on the front wall of the lid at an asymmetrical position so as to extend in the longitudinal direction. Thus, when a number of tape cassettes are accommodated within a cassette magazine, the guide portions function as a guide so that all the tape cassettes with tracks A and B aligned in the same direction can be accommodated within the cassette magazine. Also, the tape cassette of the invention can be positively loaded on a recording and/or reproducing apparatus from a desired surface side. Further, since the guide portion is formed on the lid, mechanical strength of the cassette housing can be prevented from being decreased and the indication label attaching area on the top wall of the cassette housing is prevented from being restricted.

  • Patent number: 4856695
Abstract: A method of feeding a continuous slide fastener chain with successive fly strips in a slide-fastener finishing machine, comprises feeding the slide fastener chain with successive fly strips along a horizontal straight path normally by applying driving force to one tape free of the fly strips, and feeding the slide fastener chain by applying the driving force to both of the opposed tapes while the slide fastener chain is threaded through a slider. An apparatus for carrying out this method comprises a main roller engageable with the lower surfaces of the opposed tapes, and first and second associate rollers engageable with the respective upper surfaces of the opposed tapes and vertically movable independently of each other.
