  • Patent number: 11700606
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive signaling from a base station including a configuration for multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) including uplink symbols, downlink symbols, flexible symbols, or a combination. The UE may receive a grant scheduling one or more repetitions of an uplink shared channel carrying an uplink random access message from the base station. The UE may determine available TTIs for the repetitions based on a pre-TTI evaluation of symbols according to a rule that defines types of symbols available for the uplink shared channel. The UE may transmit the repetitions on the available TTIs according to the rule.

  • Patent number: 11690089
Abstract: With advanced compute capabilities and growing convergence of wireless standards, there is requirement to run multiple wireless standards, e.g., 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi, on a single hardware together. Typical solution includes reserving some computing resources for specific wireless standards. Such a resource strategy may not be optimized or efficient according to the real needs for various wireless standards. The present disclosure presents embodiments of using a unified resource controller to take multiple scheduling inputs across various wireless standards, allocate resources among a plurality of configurable processing units, and manage hardware components for data path accelerations including forward error correction, and signal processing implementation. The multiplexing multiple wireless technologies based on spectral utilization may improve the efficiency in power consumption and hardware resources utilization.

  • Patent number: 11683732
Abstract: In various embodiments, an access point sends a first frame. The first frame carries a TXOP handover enforcement THE indication field which is a first value or a second value. The first value instructs a station that has accessed a channel to hand over a held TXOP to the access point, and the second value instructs the station that has accessed the channel to hand over the held TXOP to the access point when a handover condition is satisfied. It can be learned that the STA hands over the held TXOP to the AP. Therefore, the AP may be a TXOP holder through the TXOP handover even if the AP fails to obtain the channel through contention, so that a probability of holding the TXOP by the AP is improved, a probability of scheduling a STA by the AP is improved, and system resource utilization is improved.

  • Patent number: 11678356
Abstract: Aspects are provided allowing a base station to configure a UE to accumulate CSI over time for downlink data transmissions, and to transfer the accumulated CSI to a base station in a CSI report in response to a CSI report trigger event, thereby improving efficiency in CSI reporting and subsequent transmission reliability. Initially, the base station configures a CSI report trigger event and sends a plurality of data transmissions to a UE. The UE receives the data transmissions and then identifies the CSI report trigger event. Afterwards, the UE sends a CSI report to the base station including a CSI for each of the data transmissions in response to the CSI report trigger event. The base station may then adjust MCS or other parameters for subsequent data transmissions in response to the CSI report.

  • Patent number: 11646855
Abstract: Short Control Channel Elements (SCCE) to Short Resource Element Groups (SREG) mapping for Short Physical Downlink Control Channel (SPDCCH) is provided. A User Equipment (UE) receives a communication from a base station; determines a mapping between one or more SCCE and corresponding SREG; and processes the communication based on the mapping. A base station determines a mapping between one or more SCCE and corresponding SREG for a communication to a UE and transmits a communication to the UE based on the mapping. In this way, the localized and distributed SCCE to SREG mapping for CRS-based SPDCCH is defined. Also, the SCCE to SREG mapping for 2 and 3 OFDM symbols DMRS-based SPDCCH is defined. For DMRS-based SPDCCH, a distributed configuration at SCCE level is defined. This may improve latency and can improve the average throughput of a communications system. Radio resource efficiency could be positively impacted by latency reductions.
