  • Patent number: 11943564
Abstract: Methods and systems provide for video appearance adjustments within a video communication session. First, the system receives video content. The system then receives an appearance adjustment request comprising an adjustment depth, and detects imagery of a user within the video content. The system then detects a face region within the video content. The system segments the face region into a number of skin areas. For each of the plurality of skin areas, the system classifies the skin area as a smooth texture region or rough texture region. If the skin area is classified as a smooth texture region, the system modifies the imagery of the user in real time or substantially real time by applying a smoothing process to the skin area, where the amount of smoothing applied corresponds to the adjustment depth.

  • Patent number: 11875359
Abstract: Embodiments for presenting real-time contact options are described herein. In example embodiments, as system identifies a number of user devices actively viewing a web page that includes a real-time contact option. The system then determines whether the number of user devices actively viewing the web page that includes the real-time contact option exceeds a predetermined limit. If the number of user devices actively viewing the web page that includes the real-time contact option exceeds the predetermined limit, the system prevents presentation, to a further user device, of the real-time contact option on the web page. Conversely, if the number of user devices actively viewing the web page that includes the real-time contact option does not exceed the predetermined limit, the system causes presentation of the web page with the real-time contact option to the further user device.

  • Patent number: 11876843
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, an apparatus, a medium and an electronic device for generating a round-table video conference. In the present disclosure, in response to the head instruction information of the participant, the scrolling starting number is determined from the round-table seat number sequence through the video of the current presenter, and the scrolling ending number is determined from the round-table seat number sequence through the video of the current speaker, thereby the scrolling sequence of the target seat numbers is obtained. According to the scrolling sequence, a manner of the virtual camera in the center of the round table being rotated and shooting is simulated, and the images of the participants queued between two points are scrolled and displayed, so that a virtual round-table conference scene is created in the video conference.

  • Patent number: 11863597
Abstract: A system for alerting an emergency responder that an emergency has occurred during a video communication between two or more participants, including: a trusted custodian computer system that receives emergency information from (and then generates unique tokens for) the participants of a video communication. A second participant who has witnessed a first participant have an emergency during the video communication transmits the first participant's unique token to a first responder who then transmits the unique token to the trusted custodian computer system. The trusted custodian computer system then determines when the first responder is both capable of and permitted to respond to the emergency, or locates another appropriate first responder that is capable of and permitted to respond to the emergency.

  • Patent number: 11863604
Abstract: Technologies for audiovisual communication include an audiovisual server and a number of audiovisual client devices, including a presenter device and a number of audience devices. Each audience device captures an audiovisual stream and transmits the audiovisual stream to the audiovisual server. Each audience device also captures sensor input data such as eye tracking data or facial expression data and transmits abstracted sensor input data to the audiovisual server. The abstracted sensor input data may be based on the captured audiovisual stream. The audiovisual server determines an interestingness rating associated with each audience device based on the sensor input data, and selects one or more audiovisual streams based on the interestingness ratings. The audiovisual server transmits the selected audiovisual streams to the presenter device. The audiovisual server may update the interestingness rating algorithm based on feedback from the presenter device or the audience devices.

  • Patent number: 11863905
Abstract: A mapping between environments and devices included therein may be maintained, such that a configuration of each environment is known. Upon detecting that a user is within an environment, and based on a current device state of devices within the environment, an application may be generated and presented to the user via a corresponding user device. The application may allow the user to activate and control the devices within the environment. In particular, the application may depict selectable controls that correspond to functions or operations associated with the different devices within the environment. The application may also be dynamically updated based on an updated current device state of the devices.

  • Patent number: 11825238
Abstract: A videoconference system for two-way transmission of video and audio signals using streaming technology between at least three endpoints (EP1-EP3), each having a transmission device and/or a reception device (SE) for audio streams and/or for video streams, includes a first endpoint (EP1) having at least one transmission device (SE) for audio streams/video streams, a second endpoint (EP2) having a reception device for audio streams, and a third endpoint (EP3) having a transmission device for audio streams and a reception device for audio streams. EP1 is connected to EP2 and EP3, in order to transmit a first audio stream (AS1) to EP2 and to EP3 by the transmission device and also transmit a first video stream. EP3 receives the first audio stream (AS1) from EP1 and a request signal (AF) from EP2 and uses this as a basis for producing the second audio stream (AS2) and transmitting it to EP2.

  • Patent number: 11816389
Abstract: Embodiments are provided for utilizing communication routes based operation mode. In an example implementation, while operating in a normal power mode, a playback device maintains information in a network table, the information includes first information associated with a second playback device of the networked media system and second information associated with a third playback device of the networked media system. The playback device determines that the first playback device is to enter a low power mode to draw less power from a battery of the first playback device relative to the normal power mode, and responsive to the determination, foregoing maintaining of the second information in the network table. Thereafter, the playback device determines that the first playback device is to return to normal power mode; and, and in response, synchronizes with the second playback device based at least in part on the first information for playback of audio content.
