    Abstract: A plug connection for electrically and mechanically coupling a pair of electrical conductors includes a coupling having a coupling housing and a lever with a locking element, a pin strip having a pin strip housing with a recess receiving the locking element, and a projection arranged between the lever and the pin strip housing. The lever is rotatably mounted at the coupling housing orthogonally to a plug-in direction. The coupling housing is arranged at least in sections on the pin strip housing in a form-fitting manner and the locking element is arranged adjacent to the recess in a pre-locking position of the lever. The locking element is brought into an operative connection with the recess by rotation of the lever. When a plugging force is applied onto the coupling housing, the projection generates a counter force on the lever against the plugging force.

    Abstract: An assembly for passing controlled impedance electrical signals between two different environments via feedthroughs in a feedthrough block. The feedthrough has a signal coupling, a dielectric surrounding the signal coupling, and a ground coupling surrounding the dielectric. An electrically insulating block has an electrically conductive signal link and discrete electrically conductive ground links surrounding the signal link. An electrically conductive block has a separate dielectric spacer and signal link through the spacer. The junctions between the block, links, and spacer are sealed to hermetically separate the two environments. In one method, the components are press fit, leaving no gap between adjacent components. In another method, potting material is forced into the junctions between components.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus is presented for strain relief for mil-spec RF cabling connectors. When the RF signals are carried on the cables, they are either attached to connectors to increase their lengths or they get attached to hardware assembly that receives and transmits RF signals. At connections, strain relief is provided so that any movement of the cables does not convey stress and strain to the points where cable joins the connector or its mate. A concise, space restricted strain relief solution is provided by use of clamp, cover or shrink tubing to transfer cables in all four directions. The concentric cables line up in small dimensions and are replaceable individually as opposed to discard of entire mesh of cables on single cable failure.

One or more contacts formed on a flexible circuit board may be aligned with the one or more openings in the bottom surface portion. In this way, the receptacle may be space efficient and provide a direct connection to a flexible circuit board inside an electronic device. A cosmetic cap may be placed in the recess to obscure the existence of the connector receptacle.

Signal contacts are attached to signal conductors of cables and ground members are coupled to shields of the cables. Ends of the signal conductors and of elongated appendages extending from the ground members are positioned to make a pressure contact to pads and ground lands on the surface. Pressure to make those contacts may come from deflection of the ends of the signal conductors and elongated ground appendages or from a spring. The signal contacts and elongated appendages may be positioned to provide an impedance matching an impedance with the cables.

A hollow post extends away from the plug body and has a transverse aperture therethrough. A rod with a narrowed portion is slideable within the post. A spring biases the rod towards a latched position in which the narrow portion is not adjacent to the transverse aperture. A cross-brace is connected to a portion of the rod which extends outside of the post. Pins engage the cross brace and can be pushed to move the brace, and thereby push the rod to position the narrowed portion to an unlatched position adjacent the aperture to enable removal of the plug.
