  • Patent number: 6201704
Abstract: A robust optoelectronic transceiver module which is quick, easy, and inexpensive to manufacture. The transceiver module has a main housing which consists of a potting box with potting material inserted therein. In addition, a circuit board is encased by the potting material. The circuit board has an optical subassembly mounted thereon. The optical subassembly extends outside of the potting box through a recess. Correspondingly, a recess cover is provided for forming a liquid tight seal between the recess cover, the potting box, and the optical subassembly.

  • Patent number: 5724231
Abstract: Motherboards and cards (herein "boards") mounted in computer enclosures must be supported on X, Y and Z axes to resist shock and vibration. This requires that four edges of the board be supported. Because of the high cost of such boards their lengths are made as small as possible, and this dimension is the direction of insertion of the board. A guide is attached to the leading edge of the board having a depending foot which engages fasteners formed on the base of the chassis of the enclosure. Thus the inner edge of the board is supported along two axes. Two side edges of the board are held in tracks and the outer edge is held at the point of insertion.

  • Patent number: 5703755
Abstract: A flexible electronic card for use with an electronic card reader including a flexible substrate formed of plastic. The card has dimensions such that it can fit into a conventional billfold. A flexible semiconductor device is carried by the flexible substrate and is accessible electronically by the electronic card reader. The card and the semiconductor device carried thereby can withstand bending over a 2" radius without breaking or damaging the semiconductor device.
