  • Patent number: 9496645
Abstract: A low-profile connector for use with electronic devices provides a cantilevered latching arm with a pair of engagement hooks that engage mating holes in a guide frame, and which can be easily unlatched from the guide frame or opposing connector or housing. The hooks lock the plug connector into engagement with the frame or housing, but are readily released by way of a rotating cam lobe mechanism. The lobe mechanism converts horizontal pulling movement of an actuator into vertical, lifting movement of the latching arm such that the hooks are lifted upward and disengaged from the guide frame or housing.

  • Patent number: 9490596
Abstract: An electrical contact assembly includes a pair of contacting members and a cable receiving member fixed with the contacting members. Each of the contacting members is in a shape of sheet and opposite to each other. The pair of contacting members is formed separately and defines a front-to-rear direction. The cable receiving member is formed separately from the pair of contacting members or is formed integrally with one of the contacting members. As the pair of contacting members is formed separately, the manufacturing process is simple and the quality is easy to control. The symmetry accuracy of the pair of contacting portions will also be controlled perfectly. As a result, a power loss of an electric current will be decreased.

  • Patent number: 9455524
Abstract: A self-supported jacket seal designed for a cable connector so that after a cable is inserted into the cable connector, the integrated jacket seal protects any exposed portion of the cable without requiring any additional installation steps. The self-supported feature is provided by a plurality of rigid ridges positioned on the outer surface of the jacket seal. The ridges strengthen the construction of the component so that the jacket seal substantially maintains its shape when a cable is slidably inserted therewithin. Because the seal does not buckle when installed, it does not require any additional installation steps as found in other similar inventions known in the art.
