  • Patent number: 12272093
Abstract: An information processing apparatus (2000) detects one or more candidate regions (22) from a captured image (20) based on an image feature of a target object. Each candidate region (22) is an image region that is estimated to represent the target object. The information processing apparatus (2000) detects a person region (26) from the captured image (20) and detects an estimation position (24) based on the detected person region (26). The person region (26) is a region that is estimated to represent a person. The estimation position (24) is a position in the captured image (20) where the target object is estimated to be present. Then, the information processing apparatus (2000) determines an object region (30), which is an image region representing the target object, based on each candidate region (22) and the estimation position (24).

  • Patent number: 12272155
Abstract: There is provided a method for detecting a vehicle including receiving continuously captured front images, setting a search area of the vehicle in a target image based on a location of the vehicle or a vehicle area detected from a previous image among the front images, detecting the vehicle in the search area according to a machine learning model, and tracking the vehicle in the target image by using feature points of the vehicle extracted from the previous image according to a vehicle detection result based on the machine learning model. Since the entire image is not used as a vehicle detection area, a processing speed may be increased, and a forward vehicle tracked in an augmented reality navigation may be continuously displayed without interruption, thereby providing a stable service to the user.

  • Patent number: 12266179
Abstract: A processor-implemented method for processing a video includes receiving the video as an input at an artificial neural network (ANN). The video includes a sequence of frames. A set of features of a current frame of the video and a prior frame of the video are extracted. The set of features including a set of support features for a set of pixels of the prior frame to be aligned with a set of reference features of the current frame. A similarity between a support feature for each pixel in the set of pixels of the set of support features of the prior frame and a corresponding reference feature of the current frame is computed. An attention map is generated based on the similarity. An output including a reconstruction of the current frame is generated based on the attention map.

  • Patent number: 12254622
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for calculating an emission rate of a fugitive gas based on a gas density image of the fugitive gas. In an example, a computing device receives a gas density image of a fugitive gas from a camera. The computing device determines how to optimize the fugitive gas in the camera's field of view and instructions the camera to adjust its bearing and zoom accordingly. The camera captures one or more additional images of the fugitive gas, and the computing device stitches the images together where appropriate. The computing device then calculates the emission rate by delineating the fugitive gas in the image and determining a flux of the gas using one of various calculation methods.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for processing group images for distribution are described. Images corresponding to a group may be and sometimes are modified differently prior to being supplied to members of the group than when being supplied to entities which are not members of the group to which the image corresponds. Images of group members maybe and sometimes are replaced. Group members can provide an image to be used in the replacement process so that multiple group images which include a similar user determined image of the individual. This can make it appear that the same individual is present in multiple different group images while still not providing visual details of the actual individual in the group images.

  • Patent number: 12230061
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method enable presentation of age-appropriate augmented reality (AR) content by determining an age of wearer of an AR display device. The electronic device communicatively connects an electronic device to the AR display device. In response to determining that the electronic device is communicatively coupled to the AR display, a controller of the electronic device monitors or checks for information that indicates, or correlates to, an age of a person wearing the first AR display device being below a threshold age. In response to receiving information indicating that the person is below the threshold age, the controller selects customized AR content, customized for the person based on the age of the person and any identified personal preferences of the person. The controller presents, at the AR display device, the customized AR content, customized based on the age of the person.

  • Patent number: 12205405
Abstract: Some embodiments process facial images to ensure the inmate present for release is the actual inmate to be released. One embodiment includes receiving a facial image and a data identifier of a person. This embodiment further includes processing the facial image of the person in view of facial image data of the person to determine whether the received facial image matches the retrieved facial image data. The facial image data may be retrieved based on the data identifier of the person, facial landmark data extracted from the facial image, or otherwise. When the received facial image and the retrieved facial image data of the person match, an indicator of a match and a successful release identity verification is output. When there is not a match, an indicator of a failed release identity verification is output.

  • Patent number: 12206845
Abstract: In various examples, a deep neural network (DNN) based pre-filter for content streaming applications is used to dynamically adapt scene entropy (e.g., complexity) in response to changing network or system conditions of an end-user device. For example, where network and/or system performance issues or degradation are identified, the DNN may be implemented as a frame pre-filter to reduce the complexity or entropy of the frame prior to streaming—thereby allowing the frame to be streamed at a reduced bit rate without requiring a change in resolution. The DNN-based pre-filter may be tuned to maintain image detail along object, boundary, and/or surface edges such that scene navigation—such as by a user participating in an instance of an application—may be easier and more natural to the user.
