  • Patent number: 9379861
Abstract: A radio base station apparatus wherein even when a single-base-station transmission and a plural-base-station cooperative transmission are implemented at the same time, the terminal-to-base-station feedback information amount and the inter-cell interference (ICI) can be reduced. A base station uses a first transmission mode, in which only the base station implements a signal transmission, and a second transmission mode, in which the base station implements a cooperative signal transmission together with another radio base station apparatus, to communicate with one or more radio terminal apparatuses. A setting unit sets, as a particular frequency band whose reception quality is to be measured, one of first and second frequency bands that are parts of a band used for communication with the terminals. A deciding unit decides, as the transmission mode for the terminals, one of the first and second transmissions based on the reception quality of the particular frequency band.

  • Patent number: 9332581
Abstract: The Bluetooth wearable device can include a single ring which fits over the user's thumb or other finger. The wearable device interfaces with specialized software to provide two primary functions. First, the ring in combination with specialized software maps the rest of the user's hand in order to take input from fingers that are not currently wearing a device. Two contact points touch the screen of a device and conduct the electric current along the user's skin to interact with a capacitive screen. Second, the ring acts as a broker to connect a paired device with a touchscreen device. Between the twin contacts is a color sensor. The software on the touchscreen device displays a color to indicate how the devices should establish their connection. Using this information, the ring initiates the connection.

  • Patent number: 9325535
Abstract: To maintain linear operation of a signal processing circuit, such as a low noise amplifier, a peak detector detects a peak of a signal associated with the signal processing circuit and compares the detected peak signal with a threshold. When the detected peak signal is greater than the threshold, a variable current source biases the signal processing circuit to place the signal processing circuit in a different mode of operation. The signal processing circuit may thereby process a larger input signal while operating in an acceptable linear region.
