Abstract: Systems and methods determining measurement confidence for data collected from sensors of a wearable device are herein disclosed. In an implementation, a confidence measurement that a wearable device is worn by a user can be determined by determining that the wearable device is not in motion, comparing sample voltages collected using a light emitter to thresholds indicative of a surface on which the light is being reflected, calculating a signal quality metric using data collected using a pulse oximeter, and comparing the signal quality metric to thresholds indicative of typical biometric data measurements. Other implementations for confidence measurement can include frequency transforming signal data stored in a buffer, performing probabilistic modelling on the frequency transformed data, and determining a confidence measurement using a signal quality estimation based on the modelled data.

  • Patent number: 9723565
Abstract: A radio base station (1), which is to be pre-blockaded, transmits a pre-blockade initiate notification to radio base stations (2A-2F) neighboring the radio base station (1). Further, the radio base station (1) reduces the transmission power thereof at a predetermined reduction rate at a initiation time of the pre-blockade. Meanwhile, each of the radio base stations (2A-2F) receives the pre-blockade initiate notification and increases the transmission power at a predetermined increase rate at the initiation time of the pre-blockade, the absolute value of predetermined increase rate being equal to that of the predetermined reduction rate at the radio base station (1).

  • Patent number: 9712275
Abstract: A method for waveform-enabled jammer excision (WEJE) may include performing a jammer measurement during a look-through window when no signal-of-interest (SOI) is present and obtaining a jammer signal. A SOI-plus-jammer measurement may be performed and a SOI-plus-Jammer signal may be obtained when both the jammer signal and the SOI are present. Optimal weights that maximize a SOI-to-jammer power ratio may be determined. SOI-plus-jammer signals from a number of antenna elements may be optimally weighted and combined to copy the SOI and null the jammer signal based on the determined optimal weights.

  • Patent number: 9706499
Abstract: Wireless devices are provisioned using multiple factors. As part of a wireless detection phase, multiple wireless communications are received that were transmitted by multiple wireless devices. Individual wireless devices are distinguished from each other among the multiple wireless devices based on a distinguishing feature of each of the multiple wireless communications to obtain a provisional set of wireless devices. As part of an electrical load detection phase, one or more wireless devices connected to an electrical power circuit are identified based on time-based measurements of electrical power consumed by electrical loads on the electrical power circuit and/or powerline communications received via the electrical power circuit. The provisional set of wireless devices obtained by wireless detection may be filtered to obtain a filtered set of wireless devices that excludes wireless devices of the provisional set not connected to the same electrical power circuit.
