  • Patent number: 12020440
Abstract: A device receives a two-dimensional (2-D) image that depicts a cross-sectional view of a retina that includes a macula comprised of layers and boundaries used to segment the layers. The device converts the 2-D image to a standardized format, determines features for voxels included in the 2-D image, and generates, by using a data model to process the features, probability maps that indicate likelihoods of the voxels being in positions within particular boundaries. The device analyzes the probability maps to determine an initial set of boundary positions and to generate directional vectors that point in directions based on values included in the set of probability maps, determines a final set of boundary positions by performing a layer boundary evolution technique using the directional vectors to refine the initial set of boundary positions, and provides data that identifies the final set of boundary positions for display via an interface.

  • Patent number: 12022239
Abstract: Camera platform techniques are described. In an implementation, a plurality of digital images and data describing times, at which, the plurality of digital images are captured is received by a computing device. Objects of clothing are recognized from the digital images by the computing device using object recognition as part of machine learning. A user schedule is also received by the computing device that describes user appointments and times, at which, the appointments are scheduled. A user profile is generated by the computing device by training a model using machine learning based on the recognized objects of clothing, times at which corresponding digital images are captured, and the user schedule. From the user profile, a recommendation is generated by processing a subsequent user schedule using the model as part of machine learning by the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11988642
Abstract: A method for determining hardness of a material by implementing 3D imaging is proposed. The imaging provides database of points on the 3D imprint in an orthogonal X-Y-Z coordinate system. An imaginary image of the imprint is formed by finding a plurality of intersection points obtained by intersecting the imprint image in X-Y plane with the X-Z plane movable in the Y-axis direction for obtaining a plurality of points of intersection that lay in the X-Y plane. Statistical processing of the plurality of the points of intersection makes it possible to form imaginary image of the imprint in the X-Y plane and to use the reference dimension of the obtained imaginary image as a parameter for insertion into the hardness calculation formula.

  • Patent number: 11954862
Abstract: A neural network system leverages dual attention, specifically both spatial attention and channel attention, to jointly estimate heart rate and respiratory rate of a subject by processing images of the subject. A motion neural network receives images of the subject and estimates heart and breath rates of the subject using both spatial and channel domain attention masks to focus processing on particular feature data. An appearance neural network computes a spatial attention mask from the images of the subject and may indicate that features associated with the subject's face (as opposed to the subject's hair or shoulders) to accurately estimate the heart and/or breath rate. Channel-wise domain attention is learned during training and recalibrates channel-wise feature responses to select the most informative features for processing. The channel attention mask is learned during training and can be used for different subjects during deployment.
