Abstract: Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. For example, a first speech input directed to a digital assistant is received from a user. A first response is provided based on the first speech input. A session window is initiated, wherein the session window is associated with a variable speech threshold. A second speech input is received during the session window. In accordance with a determination that the second speech input includes speech directed to the digital assistant, a duration associated with the session window is increased. In accordance with a determination that the variable speech threshold does not exceed a predetermined speech threshold, the session window is ended.
Abstract: The present invention provides automated methods, apparatus, and systems for improving engagement with a voice assistant or smart speaker. Media content playback is detected at a media content detection application and the media content is identified. Upon receiving a voice command from a user at a smart speaker or voice assistant relating to the identified media content, the context of the voice command in relation to the identified media content is determined. The voice command is processed and executed based on the determined context.
Abstract: A digital signal processing method and learning method and devices therefor, and a program storage medium which are capable of further improving the waveform reproducibility of a digital signal. Self correlation coefficients are calculated by cutting parts out of the digital signal by multiple windows having different sizes, and the parts are classified based on the calculation results of the self correlation coefficients. Then, the digital signal is converted by the prediction method corresponding to the classified class, so that the conversion further suitable for the features of the digital signal can be conducted.
