Abstract: Includes the same-financial-institution account register control section (101A) and the other-financial-institution account register control section (101B) that make the display section (103) display a screen for enabling a customer to input information of a plurality of accounts to be registered into the magnetic card (700) or the IC card (800). The account delete control section (101C) makes the display section (103) display a delete screen for enabling the customer to input account information to be deleted from the information of the plurality of accounts. The same-financial-institution account register control section (101A) and the other-financial-institution account register control section (101B) control each section so that the information of the plurality of accounts to be registered input by the customer is registered into the magnetic card (700) or the IC card (800).
Abstract: A system and method which support securities transactions, preventing the market price from fluctuating when introducing a new set of securities to the public. In this trade support system, a trade processing unit processes buying and selling orders received online from customers' terminals. Each time a deal is completed, the trade price acquisition unit takes in the resultant trade price. A price evaluation unit determines whether the acquired trade price meets the offering price that is suggested in the prospectus of the public offering. If the former is lower than the latter, the price evaluation unit so notifies a trading order placement unit. A subscription period checking unit, on the other hand, checks whether the present date and time is within the subscription period.
Abstract: A fiber glass mat especially useful for bonding to wood contains glass fibers and a “B” staged resin, and the method of making the mat, are disclosed. A substantial portion of the resin binder can be a furfural alcohol, phenol formaldehyde, melamine formaldehyde, or any other resin that can be “B” staged.
Abstract: A fibrous sheet for structure reinforcement comprising a sheet layer of reinforcing continuous filament bundles (1) arranged parallelly spaced out from each other, auxiliary covering yarns (3, 4) arranged on both sides of the sheet layer in such a manner that each of the covering yarns intersects respective reinforcing filament bundles (1) while meandering along the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing filament bundles on at least one side of the sheet layer and auxiliary chain-stitching yarns (6) which interconnects the auxiliary covering yarns on one side of the sheet layer with the auxiliary covering yarns on the other side of the sheet layer through individual spaces among adjacent reinforcing filament bundles in a warp knitting structure.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the fabrication of thick, three-dimensional structures comprising discontinuous thermoset pitch fiber, and to composites comprising such structures embedded in a matrix material such as a thermoset resin, ceramic, metal or carbon. Carbon-carbon fiber composite articles produced from porous carbon preforms obtained by carbonizing such structures followed by infiltration with pyrolytic carbon using CVD processes exhibit surprisingly high through-thickness thermal conductivity and isotropic properties.
Abstract: A method of producing steel wires intended for the manufacture of flexible conduits, steel wires obtained by this method, and flexible conduits reinforced by such wires is characterized by the fact that, for a given strain-hardening rate of the initial wire, a heat treatment is carried out under conditions of time and temperature such that the steel wire obtained after treatment has a mechanical rupture strength (Rm) greater than 850 MPa and a structure containing little free ferrite.
Abstract: Denim fabric is made from novelty cotton yarn having irregularly spaced irregularities (e.g. slubs) about one-half inch to two inches in length. The cotton novelty yarn is made by separating cotton sliver into cotton fibers, and acting on the cotton fibers with a negative wire combing roll, and then twisting the cotton fibers into the cotton novelty yarn. The negative wire combing roll has a tooth angle of about -0.01.degree. to -15.degree.. The novelty cotton yarn is made into a warp of about 54-100 (e.g. 54-78) ends per inch, and is ring dyed so that the core of the yarn remains white. The warp is woven with a filling yarn to produce a denim fabric with a weight of about 5 oz.-17 oz. per sq. yd. having the weave and yarn size selected so that a tight construction is provided which highlights the slubs. The fabric is subjected to surface abrasion to remove the surface of dye on the slubs to show a lighter slub than body of the fabric.

Abstract: A laminate has at least two layers, at least one of which comprises a polymer having more than one perfluorocyclobutane group. Such polymers impart qualities of enviornmental or protection, chemical and solvent resistance, hydrolytic stability, lubricity, low dielectric, hydrostatic stability, weatherability, flame resistance, chemical resistance, hydrolytic stability, lubricity, environmental protection, scratch resistance, solvent resistance, surface passivation, water repellancy, lower surface refractive index, lower surface coefficient of friction, fluid barrier properties, oil repellancy, thermal stability, and/or reduced moisture pick-up. Additionally, the coatings are optically clear, easy to apply either neat, in a solvent or otherwise, have relatively low cure temperatures for their temperature resistance, and exhibit insulating and planarizing capabilities.

Abstract: A carbon fiber chopped strands suitable for use in production of a composite with a matrix material, which have a circular or elliptical cross-section, wherein carbon fiber filaments are bundled by a sizing agent in an amount of from 1 to 10% by weight based on the chopped strand, and which have denseness of from 0.4 to 0.9 according to the formula below: ##EQU1## where D denotes the average diameter of the chopped strands, d denotes the average diameter of filaments constituting the chopped strand and N denotes the number of the filaments, and a method for production thereof by impregnating a carbon fiber strand with a sizing agent in an amount of from 1 to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the chopped strand to form a sized strand, and then cutting the sized strand, thereby giving the denseness of from 0.4 to 0.9 according to the formula (1).
Abstract: The invention relates to an absorber of incident electromagnetic radiation in the microwave band, comprising a metal reflector supporting seriatim a sheet of plastic material permeable to electromagnetic energy, an electrically conductive sheet in the form of a plastic layer on which is deposited an electrical conductor, and a further sheet of material permeable to electromagnetic radiation.
