Abstract: A spherical article conveying atmosphere replacing device includes a recovering chamber which a recovering pipe penetrates; a pressure reducing device (or recovering pump) for making the inside of the recovering chamber negative in pressure; a sending chamber which a sending pipe penetrates which is coupled to the recovering pipe; and a pressurizing device (or sending pump) for making the inside of the sending chamber positive in pressure, so that the atmosphere for the spherical single crystal silicon conveyed in the recovering pipe is recovered in the recovering chamber with high efficiency which is negative in pressure, and in the sending chamber the spherical single crystal silicon in the sending pipe are accelerated.
Abstract: The labyrinth path in the corrugating nip of a single facer is substantially reduced by utilizing a small diameter corrugating roll captured between a larger diameter conventional corrugating roll and a backing roll arrangement. The smaller diameter corrugating roll is captured to prevent bending thereof under corrugating loads. The corrugator may be operated at high speeds without the adverse increase in labyrinth path and web tension characteristic of a pair of large diameter corrugating rolls.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for bonding a cover (22) over an undulating surface of a foam cushion (10) by placing the cover, an adhesive layer (82) and the cushion on a tool (18), compressing the cushion with a compression plate (58) to force ambient temperature air from an interior thereof, piercing the cushion with a plurality of needles (44) extending through holes (60) in the compression plate, releasing the compression, heating compressed air and ejecting the heated air from the needles into the interior of the cushion to elevate the temperature of the cushion. The heat is transferred from the cushion (10) to melt the adhesive (82). The cushion (10) is again compressed by the compression plate (58) to force the heated air from the interior of the cushion and the compression is released to allow ambient temperature air to flow into the interior of the cushion to cure the adhesive (82) and bond the cover (22) to the cushion (10).
Abstract: This invention disclose a process for producing a multi-layer biaxially oriented polypropylene synthetic paper of improved gloss and easy-drying printability by means of 3-layer co-extrusion wherein two different PP resin composites are separately extruded by one primary and two secondary extruders and then co-flowed by a same T-die to form a paper sheet having three layer coating material sheet, and through cooling, bi-axial orientation, surface-coating by prime coating and top coating, winding and calendering to be a synthetic paper depending on the required thickness.
Abstract: A pre-shaped protective member has, on one side or both sides thereof, a uniform adhesive layer covered with a release film. This protective member is produced by vacuum-molding or pressure-molding a molding laminate comprising a thermoplastic sheet with or without a foamed sheet laminated thereon as a base sheet, an adhesive layer having a thickness of 0.5 mm or more and laminated on at least one surface of the base sheet, and a release film covering the adhesive layer.
Abstract: A heavy duty pneumatic radial tire has a light weight of a bead portion and an excellent bead portion durability and is provided with a bead portion reinforcing layer covering an outer surface of a carcass ply around a bead core, in which the bead portion reinforcing layer is comprised of a single rubberized steel cord layer or of two or three independent rubberized steel cord layer segments. In this case, the steel cords arranged in the bead portion reinforcing layer have two different inclination angles of a given range with respect to a circumferential line of the tire.
