  • Patent number: 7291067
Abstract: A multi-player game includes both individual and bonus game aspects. Players play one or more individual games for a score. In one embodiment, game scores comprise an aggregate of scores from individual rounds of play in which indicia are displayed, held and replaced in an attempt to obtain the maximum number of matching indicia. One or more players are declared winners of the multi-player bonus event based upon game scores achieved during a predetermined interval of time. Prizes or winnings, such as all or part of a jackpot, is awarded to the winners of the bonus round. In one embodiment, players use portable devices such as cellular phones to play the game.

  • Patent number: 7255649
Abstract: A golf putting training device is provided which allows a golfer to practice distance control in a confined area by displaying an estimate of how far a golf ball would have traveled on a green having a selected stimp value after being struck with a putter and subsequently colliding with a target strike plate of the training device. The golf putting training device includes a housing and rear stabilization plate, a target strike plate, a doppler microwave speed sensor, an impact sensor, a green speed selector, a distance display, an audible beeper, and a microcontroller which calculates the putting distance based on the measurement of the speed of the rolling golf ball prior to impact and the stimp setting selected. An audible beeper provides an indication of the rolling progress of the simulated roll of the golf ball past the target strike plate.

  • Patent number: 6806859
Abstract: A signal line drive circuit for an LCD display having a reduced chip size and circuit scale. The drive part for two neighboring channels has a pair of registers 10L and 10R, a pair of first data latch circuits 12L and 12R, a pair of first switching circuits 14L and 14R, a pair of second data latch circuits 16L and 16R, a pair of level shifters 18L and 18R, a pair of D/A converters 20L and 20R, a pair of output amplifiers 22L and 22R, a pair of second switching circuits 24L and 24R, and a pair of output pads 26L and 26R. All K positive gray-scale voltages V1-VK are supplied to the left-side D/A converter 20L from gray-scale voltage generating circuit 28. On the other hand, all K negative gray-scale voltages V′K-V′1 are supplied to the right-side D/A converter 20R from gray-scale voltage generating circuit 28.

  • Patent number: 6532001
Abstract: A display control apparatus includes a display screen and a mouse and a processor coupled to the screen and mouse for displaying a mouse cursor and icons graphically representing switches, with each switch having assigned thereto a circular list of indicia respectively representing different switch options. If the mouse button is clicked on an icon the switch associated with the icon is activated and if the mouse button is held down while the cursor is on an activated icon the list of indicia assigned to the icon switch is scrolled through the icon while the cursor remains trapped in the icon. The display screen is incorporated in an engine analyzer which stores frames of digitized waveform data, the screen having a frame icon which indicates number in a decimal number, the number of the frame being displayed. When the cursor button is held down while the cursor is on the frame icon, vertical movements of the mouse will scroll the whole or integer part of the frame number through the icon window, i.e.

  • Patent number: 6392634
Abstract: A portable computer is provided with a combination trackball/mouse pointing device for controlling cursor movement on the computer screen. In one positional mode thereof, the device is removably inserted into a recess in the computer base housing and serves as an integrated trackball. In another positional mode thereof, the device is removed from the housing recess, vertically inverted, and rolled along a support surface adjacent the computer to serve as a mouse for screen cursor control purposes. Both the trackball and mouse functions of the device are carried out via the rotation of a ball carried by an outer housing portion of the device. In an alternate embodiment of the device, which does not require the vertical inversion of the device to switch between its mouse and trackball functions, the trackball function of the device is provided by a conventional touch pad structure exteriorly secured to the device housing on a side thereof opposite the exposed portion of the mouse ball.
