Abstract: The present invention provides a notepad holder for automobiles which may be mounted directly to the windshield of a car for viewing by the driver during operation of the motor vehicle or for making notes during times when the vehicle is momentarily stopped. The notepad holder includes a base which is removably mounted to the inner surface of the windshield of a motor vehicle by at least two separate mounting locations. The base includes a clamp for removably holding a pad or other writing material, and further includes a compartment for holding a pen or other writing implement.

Abstract: A baton holder, or clip, is particularly adapted for use with expandable batons or the type including a handle and one or more telescoping sections. The clip includes upper and lower retaining rings attached to a base member. The upper retaining ring slidably receives the handle. The lower retaining ring is a truncated conical section, which limits downward axial movement of the handle, while at the same time allowing passage of the telescoping sections from the handle, if extended. The expandable baton is held by the clip in either an extended or retracted position. Both the upper and lower retaining rings include longitudinal breaks, through which the baton may be broken out laterally, again with the baton either extended or retracted.

Abstract: A baton clip adapted for lateral withdrawal, or "break out" of a baton includes a retaining ring specifically formed to produce a loud snapping sound as the baton is broken out. The loud snapping sound has been found to produce a shock, or stunning psychological effect on a potential adversary, which often results in passive submission, solely by breaking the baton out. The clip is further provided with a closure for positively securing the baton in the clip. The closure is constructed and arranged in such a way as to provide for release of the closure and withdrawal of the baton in a single, rapid, uninterrupted, and fluent motion.

Abstract: A sanitizing spray device in accordance with this invention is designed for use on a toilet having a seat member, and comprises an elongate, generally tubular member having a spray device adjacent one end. The arrangement is such that water at a selected temperature and quantity is connected to said generally tubular member, so that water can be caused to travel for a portion of the length of the tubular member, and then issue as a spray of warm water from said spray device. A mounting device is provided under the seat member for pivotally mounting the generally tubular member at a location intermediate its ends. The mounting device is advantageously constructed to permit the generally tubular member to be readily swung from a recessed position in which it principally resides under the confines of the seat member, to a deployed position in which the spray device is in approximately a central location with respect to the principal aperture of the seat member and the bowl of the toilet.

Abstract: A swivel open bottom seat assembly for invalids for use in supporting an invalid over a toilet seat, a shower head or a bathtub or the like facilities. In one application, the seat is secured to a pivot post via a connecting arm extending from the post. The pivot post has an attachment base for securement to the floor adjacent a facility. The pivot post is pivotally rotatable with respect to a central longitudinal axis and permits the seat to be displaced on an arc relative to the axis of the post to position the post from an embarking position away from the facility to a position of use over or in the facility.

Abstract: For a toilet structure or lavatory bowl having a hinged seat and lid, a device is provided for attachment on the lid undersurface for automatically starting the seat to pivot on its hinge from its upright and toward its horizontal position. The device comprises a planar base secured to the lid and a movable element preferably carried at the end of a leaf spring projecting at an acute angle to the base. The movable element is temporarily adhered to the outer surface of the base when it is driven into contact therewith by the force of the seat being pivotally raised to its upright position. The adherence of the movable member to the base is adapted to be automatically released after a brief time delay whereby it snaps back to its original normal position, thereby impacting against the seat and causing the seat to pivot a sufficient distance from its generally upright position whereby the force of gravity completes the return of the seat to its horizontal disposition.

Abstract: This invention relates to a bicycle attachment which can serve as a carrier rack, or as a back protector, or as a seat cover, when moved to various positions. A convertible bicycle carrier-seat cover apparatus which comprises: (a) an attachment adapted to be removably secured to a seat post of a bicycle; (b) a swing arm which at one end thereof is pivotally connected to the attachment, and can be pivoted through a first relatively horizontal position, a second upwardly angled position, and a third upright position in a vertical plane, and is capable of being secured in any one of the positions by a swing arm-attachment securing device; and (c) a platform secured to the end of the swing arm opposite the attachment, said platform being adapted to pivot through a vertical plane in relation to the swing arm, and being capable of being secured in a first relatively horizontal position, a second upwardly angled position, and third upright position relative to the swing arm by a platform-swing arm securing device.

Abstract: A sanitary rotating fixture (10, 10a), which conceals in a wall niche (11). The fixture is more or less triangular in shape when viewed from the side. It has a rear wall (13, 13a), an upper base (21, 21a), side walls (16, 16a), a sloping bottom (17, 17a) and a means of rotation (12, 23) permitting rotation for less than 90.degree., in particular of about 60.degree. around a horizontal axis. Holding means, for example in the form of stops are provided for projecting caps (14) that slide in arch-shaped grooves (15) in the side walls of the niche (11). A plastic sheet (31) is provided to conceal flushing ducts thus preventing dirt accumulation on them and behind the fixture.

Abstract: A food washing attachment device (10) for suspending food (62) above a faucet (50) in the course of washing. The washing device (10) includes a bag (12) and rings (26-32). The rings (26-32) are used to solely support bag (12) so that the users hands maybe free to massage the bag body (18) during washing if desired. In preferred forms, the device (10) includes a sprinkler assembly (16) having a sprinkler member (34) attached to nozzle end (54) of faucet (50) by ring clamp (46). The lower end (40) of sprinkler member (34) supports ring (30and converts a stream of water into a shower of droplets. The rings may be connected either to sprinkler assembly (16) or faucet (50) or taps (58-60) or some combination thereof, for solely supporting the device (10).

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an adjustable shower head apparatus having a digital clock incorporated therein. The shower head can be adjusted upward, downward, forward and backward in addition to the head itself which can be rotated forward and backward. The shower head arms have adjustable friction joints that will provide a fixed position of the shower head when placed anywhere within the boundaries of the shower head movement. A digital clock is mounted in the body of the shower head that can be easily seen by the person taking a shower. In one embodiment, both real time and elapsed time is available from viewing the shower head clock.

Abstract: A ski boot holder which comprises a collapsible handle attached to a heel frame which is connected to elastic toe retaining means. The toe retaining means may include a toe retaining frame, which helps to hold the boots in proper alignment in the holder. The heel frame and toe frame may be designed to collapse for easy and compact storage, or carrying in the skier's pocket when the ski boot holder is not in use. A collapsible carrying handle is provided which extends upwardly between the ankle portions of the ski boots so that the boots are conveniently carried with the soles horizontally disposed. This orientation of the boots facilitates the storage of the assembly under an airplane seat, on a shelf at a ski lodge, or on a closet floor.

Abstract: A lift for putting a handicapped person into the water of a swimming bath or pool comprises a top plate, a bottom plate, a base plate secured to the ground, a fixed support post mounted on the base plate and comprising a steel tube welded to the top plate and a stainless steel tubular shaft centered in the steel tube, a rotation block rotatably mounted on the tubular shaft, and a guide column or plate. The rotation block comprises a frame provided at the rear with concentric bearings pivoting around the tubular shaft, a bearing plate positioned inside the frame, a rod mounted on and secured to the tubular shaft, and a horizontal jack mounted at its rear end to the bearing plate. The nose of the jack is connected to the rod for pivotally mounting the rotation block on the tubular shaft.

Abstract: An automatic flushing device for a flush toilet comprising an infrared sensor which can sense when the toilet has been used and then give out a signal to command the water in the tank to be flushed out for a pre-set period of time automatically. The infrared sensor is implanted in a cap covering recess centered in the tank lid which houses an electric coil.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for supporting oversized freight above the tailgate of a pickup truck, while affording normal utilization of the tailgate. In the preferred embodiment, the invention comprises two brackets that sit upon opposing rear edges of side walls of a pickup truck bed, near the tailgatae. A support beam passes through an opening in one bracket and is received in a slot in the opposing bracket. Ends of the support beam lie within each bracket and are held by securing rods passing through the brackets and beam ends. The bracket with the opening has a pivotable cap covering the opening to afford rapid deployment of the support beam. The cap is on the side of the bracket facing away from the opposing bracket. To deploy the beam, the operator simply pivots open the cap, slides the beam through the opening until one end lies in each bracket and then closes the cap and inserts a securing rod through each bracket and beam end.

Abstract: A swivel grab bar assembly for a bicycle carrier is provided. The grab bar assembly is mounted on a bicycle child carrier forward of and above the child and includes a grab bar, an assembly for mounting the grab bar on the carrier, and a pivoting system which enables the grab bar to swivel or rotate from a first down position (in which a child may enter and exit the carrier) to a second upright position (so that the child is prevented from falling out the carrier).

Abstract: A folding commode seat for use primarily by wheel-chair bound persons, which seat includes a generally C-shaped panel constructed of a vinyl-dipped foam material and having a flexible hinge therein at a base end thereof, with spaced panel segments extending forwardly from the flexible hinge and terminating in spaced relationship at the opposite ends. A pair of short web straps are secured in spaced relationship to the inside margins of each of the folding panel segments and a pair of longer Velcro straps are attached in spaced relationship to the outside of the folding panel segments opposite the web straps, respectively.

Abstract: The harness comprises a carrying strap and a connector. The connector is formed from a resilient material and comprises a strap like member having a rectangular portion, a truncated triangular portion and a narrow strap portion. A distal end of the narrow strap portion has a round opening communicating with a rectangular slot which receive a domed nipple and stem formed on the triangular portion such that the narrow strap portion can be folded over itself with the nipple and stem forced into the opening and slot thus forming a loop for attachment to an article to be carried. A plurality of walls are formed on the triangular portion to maintain the distal end of the narrow strap portion locked in the looped position. The rectangular portion is formed with a strap receiving slot to connect with the carrying strap.

Abstract: An apparatus positionable within a bathtub for discharging a jet stream of warm water, as sucked from the bathtub, having air bubbles mixed therein to cleanse and massage a part of the human body. The apparatus includes a main body for emitting the jet stream and a source of electricity positioned outside the bathtub. The main body is set directly within the bathtub. The pumping mechanism within the main body sucks liquid from the bathtub through an inlet and through a special filter, sucks the surrounding environment through an air inlet, mixes these within a mixing part, and discharges the mixture through an emitting nozzle as a high-speed jet stream. The emitted mixed fluid is discharged directly to a part of the bathing human body to massage and stimulate the body. The stimulus upon explosion of the included bubbles makes it possible to cleanse the body part efficiently.

Abstract: The present invention includes two frame members (10,12), each of which includes two elongated side legs (14,16) joined at the top by crossbars (20,21) and near the bottom by a cross piece (26). The two frame members (10,12) are rotatably connected to each other at approximately the center points of the side legs (14,16). A web-like support element (24) extends between the tops of the two frame members (10,12). Foot portions (E,E') are provided at the lower end of each side leg (14,16) and extend downwardly to a support surface. Suction cups (44) are positioned on the end of each side leg (14,16). The side legs (14,16) are configured and arranged such that the article angles forwardly when it is positioned on a horizontal surface, with the web-like support element (24) also being at an angle.

Abstract: A sanitary toilet seat cover is formed of a nonporous, nondisintegratable material, such as plastic sheet material, for protecting a user from disease-causing micro-organisms. The toilet seat cover of the present invention has integrally formed therewith a protective flap portion which ensures against contact by any part of the anatomy of the user with the inside of the front of either the commode or the toilet seat itself. In accordance with a manufacturing method aspect of the invention, a plurality of toilet seat covers are produced from a continuous sleeve of the nonporous material. After perforation lines are made in the sleeve to facilitate separation of the individual toilet seat covers, as well as removing a blank central portion and producing the protective flap, the continuous sleeve may be folded so that, after rolling, it can be accommodated on the axle of a dispenser having the dimensions of conventional bathroom tissue.
