Abstract: A device, system and method for treating the scalp hair of an individual including the storing, processing, and dispensing hair building material, wherein the device includes at one or more housings connected to a base and a plurality of bristle elements disposed in a flow receiving relation to hair building material contained within the different housings of the base. A vibratory force is exerted on the base, housings and/or hair building material contained therein to facilitate a con current dispensing of different portions of the hair building material in a manner which accomplishes and at least partial blending of the different portions of the hair building material in the area of a bristle portion of the base. Once blended the hair building material is distributed throughout intended portions of the hair of a user by the bristles.

Abstract: A makeup system includes a first carrier for holding a first palette of makeup and a second carrier for holding a second palette of makeup. The first carrier is joined with the second carrier and joined in a manner to allow the two carriers to be folded together. The system further includes a third carrier joined with the first carrier or the second carrier. The third carrier includes a support for supporting a sheet, which sheet can include a guide on how to apply the makeup that is included in the first and/or second palettes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of nail grooming and generally describes a novel nail-grooming device whose purpose is to allow a user to groom his or her own fingernails in both hands in an accurate, symmetrical and uniform manner, with minimal effort and without being required to acquire any skills that might be required by other devices. The device comprises a finger placement wherein a user places his or her finger, and a nail grooming machine with a nail grooming head suitable for nail grooming tasks such as filing, wherein the nail grooming head is capable of performing a cyclic movement against a nail of the finger placed on the finger placement for filing or other nail-grooming task, and wherein the nail filing machine also comprises a mechanism capable of triggering a sideways movement of the nail grooming head on a curved horizontal axis around the nail to allow circumferential grooming of the fingernail while the finger is statically placed on the finger placement.

Abstract: A cosmetics applicator made of plastic and having a bristle carrier and having bristles integrally bonded therewith as a single part, whereas the bristle carrier being a permanent magnet while the bristles as such are non-magnetic, characterized in that the bristle carrier comprises a core made of a first plastic filled with magnetic particles and forming an interface at least at the outer circumference thereof, said interface being enclosed by a layer of a second, non-magnetic plastic, wherein the first and the second plastic are preferably welded to each other and the second plastic is preferably harder than the first plastic, and wherein the second plastic is integrally connected to the bristles as a single piece.

Abstract: In a hair styling device (20) having a two-dimensional array (21) of elements to bring hair at a styling temperature, the elements produce optical radiation energy. The elements may include one or more LEDs, and preferably a plurality of LEDs, in which case the LEDS are driven in clusters that may be of mutually different shapes and sizes. The hair styling device (20) further comprises sensors to obtain an areal light absorption measurement opposed to the two-dimensional array of elements, and a control unit for individually controlling the elements in dependence of the measurement. The sensors may be arranged for measuring an areal light density profile of a whole treatment area. The hair styling device may radiate hair from two sides, both of which includes an areal light absorption measurement. The sensors may include LEDs that do not produce light.

Abstract: The invention features a holder for prosthetic eyelashes comprising a clamp having two jaws and a closure linkage designed to retain and convey the two jaws in and between an open conformation and a closed conformation. Each jaw has one or more articulated linkages, with the articulated linkages being designed to permit adjustment of a jaw curvature conforming to a desired curvature of a prosthetic eyelash. The two jaws provide rigidity in a dimension for permitting an application of clamping force against the prosthetic eyelash. A spring is fixedly attached to each of the two jaws, and the spring is biased to urge the jaws into the closed conformation. A stand may be attached to the spring, with the stand being designed to hold the clamp in a working position for retention of the prosthetic eyelash for preparation of application to a human eyelid.

Abstract: The Hair Length Hand Guide allows for the user to easily measure and cut hair at uniform lengths. The guide is mounted between any two fingers on either hand such that the guide support extends perpendicular to the bottom of the hand when the user's fingers are extended straight and the hand is flat. To measure hair, the user can run their fingers at an angle in a combing motion through the hair grasping any that needs to be cut at its base. The curvature on the bottom of the guide support then allows the user to rock their hand back, pulling the hair grasped between their fingers straight while bringing the hand parallel to the cutting surface. The user can then cut any hair that extends beyond the top of their fingers for a uniform cut.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for supplementing human hair. A system and method includes a wire coupled to an existing hair, wherein the wire pulls the existing hair through a funnel and microtube. A sleeve with supplemental hairs is positioned on the microtube and configured to be coupled to the existing hair. After the existing hair passes through the microtube, the wire, funnel, and microtube are removed, thus leaving the supplemental hairs coupled to the existing hair via the sleeve. An alternative system and method includes one or more tools for installing two halves of a sleeve with supplemental hairs extending therefrom onto a strand of existing hair. The one or more tools are configured to guide the strand of existing hair into engagement with the halves of the sleeve, thus securing the sleeve and the supplemental hairs on the strand of existing hair.

A false eyelash holder for holding a false eyelash has a support member for supporting the false eyelash and is adjustable to cause inversion of the false eyelash from a convex shape to a substantially concave shape. An inverter-loader device is configured to receive the holder and operable to adjust the holder to cause the false eyelash inversion. An applicator for applying an inverted false eyelash to an eyelid may have a unitary structure or may be a clamp for gripping the inverted false eyelashes. The applicator is operable to carry the inverted false eyelash for allowing the applicator to roll the false eyelash lengthways onto an eyelid and allowing the rolling false eyelash to release from the applicator. The applicator may be disposable.

Abstract: A detachable hair brush apparatus is disclosed. The hair brush apparatus may comprise a handle with elongated metal extension rods at one end and at least one hollow brush head for insertion around the metal extension rods. In a locked position, the metal extension rods extend substantially through a base of the brush head. At least one button may be located on said handle for releasing the mechanical locking engagement. Torque provided by a user of the hair brush apparatus is absorbed by the metal extension rods of the hair brush handle. In this way, functional separation of two distinct systems is provided for, namely the function of “attaching” and the function of “absorbing torque”. This will make for increased robustness of each system. In a preferred embodiment, neither the handle nor the at least one hollow brush head comprises a magnet for coupling.
