Abstract: An aneurysm implant support device for treating an aneurysm at a bifurcation can include a body having a tubular lattice extending from an upper body section, through a mid body section, and to a lower body section. The upper body section can be sized, shaped, and otherwise configured for implantation in an aneurysm sac. The upper body section can include support elements positioned at the aneurysm neck which inhibit the embolic implants from exiting the aneurysm. The mid body section can have two large cell openings substantially larger than the cell openings over a majority of the tubular lattice. The two large cell openings can be placed across passageways from a stem blood vessel to branch blood vessels of the bifurcation. The lower body section can be sized, shaped, and otherwise configured to anchor within the stem blood vessel.

  • Patent number: 11730488
Abstract: A tourniquet assembly is provided comprising an external band and an internal band with a first and second semi-permanent adhesive members. The external band has a first connecting member affixed thereto and a second connecting member removably connected thereto. The internal band is designed to form a loop having a circumference around a limb for constricting blood flow in the limb when the external band forms a loop when the first connecting member is attached to the second connecting member. The tourniquet assembly further comprises a tensioning member connected to the internal band and configured to apply direct tension to the internal band without applying direct tension to the external band. Herein, the circumference formed by the internal band is reduced when the tensioning member is actuated, thereby compressing the limb when the tourniquet assembly is placed around the limb, and thereby reducing blood flow to the limb.

  • Patent number: 11701107
Abstract: A suturing device comprising an elongated member including a cavity formed in a surface thereof, a needle passage, and a vacuum port. When the elongated member is inserted into a body including tissue and a vacuum is applied to the cavity, the tissue is captured by the cavity. A needle pusher is operable to move a needle having a sutured attached thereto through the tissue until a first end of the needle is captured by a needle capturing assembly. A clamp coupled to the elongated member is used to extract the needle from the needle capturing assembly and reposition the needle with suture attached to be re-engaged by the needle pusher. The cavity may include a plurality of cavity portions for capturing multiple contiguous portions of the tissue such that a single pass of the needle and the suture results in the suturing of the multiple portions of the tissue.
