  • Patent number: 9938916
Abstract: This system is used for adjusting the control parameters of an onboard electronic control device of an automotive vehicle in view of a journey or type of journey. This system includes a computation arrangement adapted to generate a set of control parameters to be used by the electronic control device and an input arrangement adapted to allow a user to provide the computation arrangement with data relating to the journey or type of journey and to at least one constraint to be considered as having priority during the journey or type of journey. In the method of the invention, one collects data with respect to the vehicle, to the journey or type of journey and to the constraint to be considered as having priority. These data are provided to the computation arrangement which generate a set of control parameters for the control device.

  • Patent number: 9892475
Abstract: A method and system for assisting clinical staff in providing optimal care in real-time and assisting in compliance with clinical standards and guidelines. The system performs the steps of receiving items of patient data, comparing the received patient data with a set of best practice rules to determine if at least one item of patient data has not been received. The patient data can include patient information, diagnosis, decision, or an action to be taken. The system generates a first notification if an item of patient data has not been received. The first notification is generated based on the comparison of the received patient data with the set of best practice rules. The system displays the first notification, which includes a selectable portion for entering data corresponding to the at least one item of patient data that has not been received.

  • Patent number: 8000978
Abstract: Care provider assignments to a patient may be automatically generated based on clinical evidence, documentation, workload, infectious status and other factors. The patient's chart may be accessed by a rules-based engine configured with rules to relate a patient's clinical status and needs to qualifications, certifications, capabilities and skills of care providers to select the care provider best qualified to assign to the patient. For instance, care providers having specialized training may be identified for assignment to patients presenting with specialized needs. Graphical displays of available providers may be displayed to and overridden by a manager. Because patient needs are automatically aligned with provider capabilities, availability and other factors, the errors, oversights and inefficiencies of manual or informal assignment systems are avoided and better health care delivery can be realized.

  • Patent number: 7752057
Abstract: System and method of continuously analyzing trial data of an ongoing clinical trial is provided. A statistical analysis is performed on a trial database containing subject trial data without suspending the ongoing clinical trial. If the result of the statistical analysis does not exceed a predetermined threshold value, then the statistical analysis is repeated while the clinical trial is ongoing. In a blinded clinical trial, a grouped database is generated from the trial database and a blinding database prior to performing the statistical analysis. The grouped database groups the subject trial data according to the study groups.
