  • Patent number: 10660706
Abstract: Dental implantation systems and methods are provided, including a site preparation device for preparing a site within a patient's mouth for receiving an anchor portion of a dental implant. An implant preparation device forms a crown portion of the dental implant for reception by the anchor portion. A guidance device communicates with a fiducial marker engaged with the patient's mouth, to interchangeably receive the site and implant preparation devices, and to guide the site and/or implant preparation device, relative to the fiducial marker, in conjunction with manipulation thereof by a user. A planning device communicates with and via the guidance device, and determines an arrangement of the dental implant at the site, to direct the site preparation device to prepare the site to receive the dental implant arrangement, and to direct the implant preparation device to prepare the crown portion for receipt by the anchor portion.

  • Patent number: 10624725
Abstract: An oral rinsing apparatus that washes away plaque, bacteria, and food debris that might reside on the teeth and along the gumline includes a handle, a nozzle, and a water supply line. The handle is adjacently attached to the nozzle. The water supply line that is connected to the handle and positioned opposite to the nozzle. The water supply line is in fluid communication with an existing water source diverter and provides a stream of water into the handle and the nozzle. The stream of water then flows through a first channel of the handle and a second channel of the nozzle before discharges through a head of the nozzle. A flow-activation button of the handle turns on and off the stream of water that exits through the head as a plurality of flow control settings are integrated into the head.

  • Patent number: 10617500
Abstract: An oral irrigator including a handle, a tip, and a pump at least partially received within the handle and fluidly coupled to the tip. The pump includes a pump body defining a pump chamber, an inlet valve regulating fluid flow into the pump chamber, an outlet valve regulating fluid flow out of the pump chamber, a piston, and a linkage operably coupled to the piston and a drive shaft of a motor. The linkage translates rotational movement of the drive shaft into movement of the piston in first and second directions within pump chamber. When the piston moves in the first direction, the inlet valve opens, allowing fluid to flow into the pump chamber, and the outlet valve closes. When the piston moves in the second direction, the inlet valve closes and the outlet valve opens, allowing fluid to flow out of the pump chamber.

  • Patent number: 10617498
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for endodontic treatment of teeth provide effective cleaning of organic material (such as pulp and diseased tissue) from the root canal system. In an embodiment, a compressor system generates high pressure liquid (e.g., water) that flows through an orifice to produce a high-velocity collimated jet of liquid. The high-velocity jet is directed toward a surface of a tooth, for example, an exposed dentinal surface, and impingement of the jet onto the surface generates an acoustic wave that propagates throughout the tooth. The acoustic wave effectively detaches organic material from dentinal surfaces and tubules. The detached organic material is flushed from the root canal system by the liquid jet and/or by additional irrigation.
