Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively enhancing the weight and aerodynamics of sporting equipment are provided. A system may include a piece of sporting equipment having openings extending through the sporting equipment. The system may include a plug operable to be secured within one of the openings extending through the sporting equipment. The plug may include a first end portion, a second end portion, and an attachment mechanism. The first end portion may include a first outer flange and a first body. The first outer flange may have a larger diameter than the first body. The second end portion may include a second outer flange and a second body. The second outer flange may have a larger diameter than the second body. The attachment mechanism may be configured to connect the first end portion to the second end portion to secure the plug within the one of the openings.

Abstract: A golf club head includes a forward section and a body section to define a closed internal volume. The forward section has a strike face, a frame that surrounds the strike face, and a flange extending from the frame. The body section is formed from a molded polymeric material, and includes a forward edge that defines a receiving portion adapted to receive the flange and a weight receiving feature spaced apart from the forward edge. The body section further includes a reinforcing structure protruding into the internal volume and extending between the weight receiving feature and the forward edge. The reinforcing structure is operative to transfer impact loads between the weight receiving feature and the metallic forward section.

Abstract: A sports field marking assembly and method of marking creates a boundary reference point and field lines on a field or for coaching. The assembly provides a marker anchoring device that is loaded with field markers. The marker anchoring device comprises a translatable handle coupled to a spring-loaded piston that discharge the field markers into the surface of the sports field. Bristles couple to a rear end of the marker body for visibility above the surface of the field. A tape canister couples to the marker anchoring device to dispense a measuring tape. The measuring tape couples to the field markers, serving to delineate the boundaries and lines on the field. Multiple aligners anchor into the sports field to retain the measuring tape in the formed patterns. The aligners have collapsible and moveable guide posts that can be selectively raised to guide the measuring tape though the chosen guide posts.

Abstract: A swing lag training device having a latching mechanism for reversible attachment to a shaft near a golf club head; a means for allowing a connection point to rotate relative to the attached latching mechanism; an arm band for attachment above an elbow of an arm of a user; a spooling device attached to the arm band with a cord that connects the spooling device to an connection point near the golf club head; the spooling device adapted to: 1) retract cord into the spooling device during a back swing; and 2) provide a set of audible sounds as cord is unwound as the golf club head is moved in a forward swing so that a user can train to concentrate the set of audible sounds in a late portion of in the forward swing and thus maintain swing lag during an early portion of the forward swing.

Abstract: This present application pertains to a toss game consisting of at least two angled boards with a geometrically shaped cut out for the tossed item to fall through. It also consists of a mechanism that will move the geometrically shaped cut out, or opening, in an oscillating geometric motion, thus increasing the skill required to play said toss game.

Abstract: A baseball hitting/training device consisting of a hitting tee and a baseball. The ball is preferably permanently bonded/molded to a spring. In a preferred arrangement, the ball rests upon an upper tee shaft segment which acts to protect the spring. A length of the spring extends from the ball, through the upper tee shaft segment and into a middle tee shaft segment. A retainer fastens the spring to the middle tee shaft segment. The middle tee shaft segment is inserted into a lower tee shaft segment. The lower tee shaft segment is fixed to a base. When hit with a bat, the baseball remains attached to the tee by the spring and then springs back to its original upright position.

Abstract: A cue for billiard sports that has a butt section, a joint collar, and a shaft section that has a kinetic energy absorbing insert located in the shaft section of the cue. A shaft section that has a kinetic energy absorbing insert that may be connected to an existing joint collar and butt section of a cue to improve the kinetic energy absorbing characteristics of the cue. A kinetic energy absorbing insert that is to be received by an existing shaft section of a cue in order to increase the kinetic energy absorbing characteristics of the cue is also disclosed.

The system includes a rear support-and-multimedia assembly for supporting the net and producing audible and visual effects. The system also includes a at least one annular frame and a primary projector. The rear support-and-multimedia assembly includes a support assembly and a multimedia bar system. The support assembly maintains the annular frame and the multimedia bar system in an orientation that facilitates playing sports and projecting information. The multimedia bar system includes a plurality of lights, a plurality of first speakers, a plurality of sponsor display panels, a retractably screen assembly, and a retractably underground projector in order to audible and visually convey content regarding the sports game and advertisements to the audience. The system also includes an annular display, and a multitude of rangefinder laser-detector video cameras to track, record, and present gameplay live.

Each building block includes a block base, formed of a single piece of plastic, that has four sides interconnected to form a tubular member having a square cross-section and having an interior. At least one side has an opening sized to receive a toy marble. The top of each building block has a base portion and a connection boss extending from the base portion. The connection boss and base portion have a second opening sized to receive a toy marble. The boss is configured to engage and fit within the open bottom of another block base having the same structure. At least one base platform includes a plurality of pedestals extending from a top surface. To protect the electronics from displacement or damage, the puck employs a layered structure. The puck has a centrally located cavity, containing a carrier structure having a rigid shell, at least one transmitter circuit supported by the carrier structure, and a battery provided within the carrier structure. The battery is embedded in a first elastic material provided within the carrier structure. The carrier structure is embedded in a second elastic material provided within the centrally located cavity.

Abstract: A golf ball with embedded electronics to allow proximity to be tracked and to monitor golfer performance is disclosed. The golf ball comprises a processor connected to an accelerometer, communications circuitry, a spin detector, and memory, wherein the processor stores accelerometer data from the accelerometer and rotation data regarding rotation of the spin detector in the memory. The processor converts the data regarding the rotation of the spin detector into a rotation speed and a rotation direction, said rotation speed determined by a frequency of the data, and said rotation direction determined by a magnitude of the data. The communications circuitry is configured to communicate the accelerometer data, the rotation direction, and the rotation speed to a central interrogator for analysis of a golfer's performance.

In one approach, the edge is adapted and arranged to surround the stick's head. Abstract: A card shuffler and dealing module shuffles eight decks of cards (or less) and delivers Baccarat hands (or other games) to a dealer. Cards are randomly selected from two pre-shuffle bins and delivered to a connected or integral dealing module. The card shuffler initially selects and delivers four cards (the minimum number needed for a hand of Baccarat) to a dealing area of the dealing module. Two additional cards (the maximum number of additional cards needed for a hand of Baccarat) are then selected and delivered to the dealing module rear of the four initial cards. Accordingly, up to six cards are available to be dealt during the Baccarat hand. The smart card shuffler tracks the rank of the cards and discerns the future outcome of the Baccarat game and adjusts the cards made available to the dealer via an automatic dealing module cover and card transport mechanism.

Abstract: A game lighting and scorekeeping assembly for use when playing toss games is provided. The assembly includes an upright support structure adapted to support a scorekeeping device (preferably illuminated), an illumination system for providing light onto one or more gameboards, a cup holding assembly, an audio speaker system, a bottle opener assembly, and other elements. Both the scorekeeping device and the illumination system each emit amplified light with the illumination system emitting focused light at higher lumens, and as such, the game lighting and scorekeeping assembly is designed to minimize the interference between the light emitted by the scorekeeping device and the light emitted by the illumination system. In this regard, the scorekeeping device is positioned at a higher elevation on the game lighting and scorekeeping assembly above the illumination system.
