  • Patent number: 11855765
Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a non-coherent data transmission method and a communication apparatus. In the method, a transmit end device determines, in a first constellation, a first constellation point corresponding to first to-be-modulated bits, where the first constellation point corresponds to P first symbols, P=M*N, M is a positive integer, and N is an integer greater than 1; and sends the P first symbols on N resource units by using M antenna ports, or sends P second symbols determined based on the P first symbols, and foregoes sending demodulation reference signals of the P first symbols or the P second symbols. In the method, a constellation is designed, and each constellation point in the constellation corresponds to a plurality of resource units so that data can be transmitted with no need to transmit a reference signal, and only the data needs to be transmitted.

  • Patent number: 11849488
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first-attempt random access preamble to a base station via a first frequency resource. The first frequency resource may be within a first bandwidth part (BWP), a first component carrier (CC), a first frequency subband, or any combination thereof. If the UE fails to detect a random access response (RAR) for the first-attempt random access preamble within the time period, the UE may transmit a second-attempt random access preamble to the base station. In some examples, the UE may transmit the second-attempt random access preamble via a different, second frequency resource, which may be within a second BWP, a second CC, a second frequency subband, or any combination thereof. The base station may transmit an indication of the second frequency resource to the UE.

  • Patent number: 11811652
Abstract: A user plane function (UPF) node may receive a packet for traffic associated with a user equipment (UE). During packet classification, the UPF node may identify that a packet filter for the packet is not found in a packet filter set of an existing Quality of Service (QoS) Flow. In response, the UPF node may configure the packet filter in the packet filter set of the QoS Flow based on a flow tuple of the packet. The UPF node may send, to a control plane function node, a message which indicates a request for adding the flow tuple to the QoS Flow. The message may be for triggering communication of a message which indicates a session modification command for receipt by the UE, for adding an uplink packet filter that is based on the flow tuple for the QoS Flow.

  • Patent number: 11792063
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A phase rotation adjustment may be applied in cases where a transmitted signal is heterodyned. For instance, a device (e.g., a base station, a user equipment (UE), a wireless repeater) may determine that a receiving device may receive a transmitted signal at a carrier frequency that is different from a carrier frequency used by a transmitting device (e.g., such as in the case of a wireless repeater relaying the signal from the transmitting device to the receiving device). A phase rotation adjustment may be applied by the device (e.g., the base station, UE, or wireless repeater) to account for the heterodyning. The phase rotation adjustment may be based on the carrier frequency used by the receiving device to receive the signal. In some cases, a receiving device may also apply the phase rotation adjustment following the demodulation of a received signal.
