  • Patent number: 8782059
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for selecting and importing objects. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided for selecting objects for importation. Each object includes data and related processes. In the method, a search query is received including an object type. The object type identifies two or more key fields that uniquely identify the object type specified in the search query. A filter selection is received, which includes one or more values of characteristics or key figures of the specified object type. A database is searched and objects of the specified object type that meet the filter selection are identified. A result is returned to a user indicating the identified objects.

  • Patent number: 8782000
Abstract: A management device includes a storage unit which stores both an attribute value before correction and an attribute value after correction concerning a configuration item as a management target and type information of the configuration item or relationship information between the configuration item and another configuration item; a determination unit which, when an attribute value input for a new configuration item coincides with the attribute value before correction stored in the storage unit, determines a degree of coincidence between type information or relationship information input for the new configuration item and the type information stored in the storage unit or the relationship information stored in the storage unit; and an output unit which outputs the attribute value after correction based on the determination result of the determination unit.

  • Patent number: 8782003
Abstract: A system for processing data comprises a deduplicating system, an interface, and a processor. The deduplicating system stores a copy of data stored in a data storage system by storing a set of segments that is able to reconstruct the data stored in the data storage system. The data storage system has a stored log file. The stored log file stores a data change and an associated time for the data change. The interface receives an indication to revert data stored in the data storage system to a state at a snapshot time. The processor is configured to determine a first subset of the data stored in the data storage system that has changed since a prior snapshot using the stored log file and to determine a second subset of the data stored in the data storage system that has changed between the prior snapshot and the snapshot time using a first list of fingerprints associated with the prior snapshot and a second list of fingerprints associated with the snapshot time.

  • Patent number: 8782077
Abstract: In general, in one aspect, a method includes receiving a query image, accessing a database of hash values of other images, determining a hash value for the query image by applying a hash function to a bit-vector of data representing signs of a subset of wavelet coefficients collected from the query image, the subset corresponding to wavelet coefficients having greatest magnitude, comparing the hash value of the query image to the hash values of the database, and based on the comparison, identifying as near duplicate images one or more of the other images having a hash value that matches the hash value of the query image. This and other implementations of this aspect can include corresponding systems, apparatus, and computer program products.

  • Patent number: 8775457
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for searching one or more documents for several different strings is described. A finite state machine receives and processes one or more search strings with a tail-first search. A matching string machine forms states based on the characters in the search string with at least one state accepting a match. The states are annotated with a pattern that indicates what the state has matched and can match. Each position within the pattern is either a character that has been matched at that point or an indicator that it is unknown.

  • Patent number: 8775381
Abstract: In a database cluster comprising a plurality of mirrored database segments, a mirror database pair comprising a primary database and a mirror database are maintained substantially consistent by writing changes resulting from transactions to page data in parallel to the primary database and to the mirror database. Changes are sent to the mirror database over a network using network communications. Transaction logs are also written to the primary and mirrored databases in parallel, the transaction logs being sent to the mirror database using network communications. Bulk load changes resulting from transactions are written in parallel over the network to the primary database and the mirror database without writing the changes to a transaction log. In the event of a failure, resynchronization of the mirror database can be performed quickly while avoiding a lengthy ongoing redo process on the mirror database.

  • Patent number: 8768957
Abstract: A computer program product and apparatus are disclosed for managing task data. A task identifier that identifies a task is sent from a task processing portlet to a mapping engine, and then to a process server. A task type is identified by the process server based on the task identifier. The task type is sent from the process server to the mapping engine, which uses a mapping entry database that includes mapping entries to identify a set of queries and a set of data sources that are mapped to the task type. Data received from the set of data sources is aggregated in response to the set of queries to form aggregated data. The aggregated data is used by the human user to complete the selected task. The mapping entry is changed at runtime by changing the set of data sources that are mapped to the task type.

  • Patent number: 8768976
Abstract: A computation system includes a receiver, a schema generator, and a table generator. The receiver receives operational related data relating to an IT environment of an organization from remote systems. The schema generator organizes the operational related data into at least one class of IT metric-oriented data based on at least one intrinsic characteristic of the operational related data to generate a schema. The operational related data includes data tables corresponding to IT assets of the organization. The table generator processes an input table based on the schema to generate an output table. The input table includes a starting table having one or more columns. The output table identifies a subset of interrelated data included in the starting table.

  • Patent number: 8768978
Abstract: A method for modifying an original data object in a database using a single command is disclosed. The single command is first validated. Once the command has been validated a ghost data object is created using the new definition. The ghost data object is populated with data from the original object. The transaction log records from the original data object are applied to the ghost data object. The original data object is then locked for exclusive access. The final transaction log records from the original data object are applied to the ghost data object. In the final step the database switches to the new data object. Dependent objects are automatically transformed as part of the same operation.

  • Patent number: 8768955
Abstract: A system and method for identifying a component, such as a sensor, for a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to be replaced for a vehicle of interest by performing a Quick Search or an Advanced Search of a TPMS Manager database. In the Quick Search, the user inputs year/make/model (Y/M/M) or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). In the Advanced Search, the user inputs various physical attributes of the component to be replaced. All related superseded, alias or interchange parts with like communication or physical structure and relevant service components are determined and the results displayed to the user. A relearn procedure for the replacement TPMS component for the vehicle of interest identifies and validates scan tool compatibility. A report to the user of a cause/failure analysis of the component to be replaced can be displayed.
